My family and I have purchased at least 5 cars from this dealership and typically it goes smoothly. No haggling, easy test drive process, quality cars, etc. This last time was extremely disappointing. I dealership and typically it goes smoothly. No haggling, easy test drive process, quality cars, etc. This last time was extremely disappointing. I shipped a car from Texas and the lack of tracking ability or predictable timing of arrival was very surprising to me in this day and age. It's very frustrating that you can't call the store directly, but are directed to a regional help center, where they can't answer specific questions. Next, the car arrived with some modifications that are literally illegal to drive with in my state, meaning it took a few extra days with service before I could drive it off the lot. The last and worst part was that it was an EV, and I had been told it would take 3 days to determine if the tax credit would be accepted (not sure why, since other dealerships can approve it at the time of sale). In the end, I didn't hear for 17 days whether the car would qualify. And of course that is past their free return window. Thankfully it did qualify, but the process was ridiculously slow and their communication was inaccurate and misleading when selling the car. More
We were in and out of there in 30 minutes. Friendly sales rep. Had an issue after purchase and they are taking care of it under warranty. Friendly sales rep. Had an issue after purchase and they are taking care of it under warranty. More
Only good was my sales associate. Had the car delivered from KC to Urbandale. Car was described as only damage was a small dent on the liftgate. My first look at the car has a dent and huge scratch on the quarter panel. After more inspection I found 1/2 holes drilled into both quarter panels for PDR repair. Done in a very unprofessional manner with no rust protection. Unfortunately there wasn’t another car like it close and had to take it. So now the car is getting fixed at a reputable body shop and put back to factory standards only costing $5k. I asked for a discount on undisclosed damage and was told absolutely no haggling. Which makes the being a manager at this place the easiest job on the planet. Dealer is right, customer is wrong approach is wild. Good luck with that. Will never buy again. Don’t get me started on the financing. Refinanced immediately with more than half the rate given at the dealership. More
Buyer beware! Buyere beware! I attempted to trade in my vehicle and purchase a vehicle from CarMax. They require two sets of keys / fobs for the vehicle being trade Buyere beware! I attempted to trade in my vehicle and purchase a vehicle from CarMax. They require two sets of keys / fobs for the vehicle being traded in. I turned in my required keys and good to need with the purchase process. After purchasing the vehicle I asked him for two keys / faubs and I was informed there was only one selling with the vehicle and that they are a quotation no haggle business. And quotation they also informed me that you dont need two key /faubs. most people only need one. If you would like another you will have to pay for it. Instead of paying $60 for me to have a second key / fob they let me we just walk off a lot in return the vehicle I had just purchased from them. The general manager stated that if they were to give me 2 key / fob that's what I would tell people that I got one on them and they are no haggle business. I tried to reason with them that I turned in all the keys and I expect the same in return. The pictures on the website lead you to believe your vehicle will come with 2 keys / fobs. I would not think something as minor as a key fob would keep them from wanting to sell a vehicle, but then again they are a no haggle business and unwilling to do small things to please paying customers. When purchasing a vehicle from here keep in mind that if you would like more than one key / Bob you will have to pay out of your pocket regardless of how much you pay for the vehicle. Apparently taking a loss of 25,000 this worth their pride and a second key fob. Who knows this could be an easy way for their business to make money. Just beware More
