I’ve had an exhausting purchasing experience. I bought a 2023 Outback Subaru from the Tallahassee location last week. Amani was great and helpful. Once I got the car inspected, they found undisclosed surface level rust. They said they wouldn’t do anything about it because it within their standards. I don’t care if it’s allowed, it should have been disclosed. But the communication there is AWFUL. they don’t communicate between themselves or customers. I was told something different by every single person I spoke to, including managers. Every time I call I’m just bounced around or put on hold for 10+ minutes. They sent me to safelite to get my windshield fixed and didn’t bother telling me it would take HOURS. I drove thirty minutes one way there. So then I was stuck on the opposite side of town waiting for 4 hours. Safelite said I should have gotten an email. Well I didn’t. It went to carmax’s email and they didn’t bother to let me know. Just an infuriating and exhausting process. I have lost hours of working time and now my free time dealing with this. More
