I absolutely love CarMax. It's the ONLY way I will buy a car from now on. This is my 3rd purchase from CarMax and I love how easy they make it. I cannot remember the lady's name that made first contact with me but she was wonderful. She went above and beyond and got back my gap insurance refund for me trading in my car which was completely unexpected and helpful. I love the ease of being able to pick my vehicle out online and doing all of the prep before going in to make everything seamless. More
This was the first time I have bought a car from a dealership because I hate pushy salesmen, but I did not have another option, so I decided to go to CarMax. The experience was fantastic. I could look at the cars without anyone standing over me, and when I made my choice, the salesman answered my questions and made it happen easily! Went in to by a truck that was listed. I like the truck, but the trade in value they offered on my current truck was atrocious. Decided to use cash down payment instead, but by then the I like the truck, but the trade in value they offered on my current truck was atrocious. Decided to use cash down payment instead, but by then the truck was already sold. They found another similar truck and had it delivered, and I did end up getting that truck. Problems are that whenever you call the dealership, it is incredibly difficult to get to the right person. When you leave a voicemail or message, nobody calls back. The vehicles are supposed to come with a 90 day warranty, but when I tried to set up a time to come in(new truck had a light on dash), they claimed their system was down and couldn't set up a time and they would call back. Guess what--they never did. In the end I got the deal I wanted, but their communication is terrible. More
