I had such a great experience with Carmax. I was able to shop around for the exact vehicle I wanted. They were able to reserve it for me and ship it to my closest dealership from a few states away FOR FREE! Having it reserved for me only until I was able to get to teat drive it really made the stress of it not getting sold go away so I could take my time investigating everything I needed to know about it. They even send tracking so I knew when I was to arrive. Setting up an appointment to test drive was simple and also done online. When I arrived to test drive, the staff were all very kind and accommodating. I only waited a few minutes before being able to take her for a spin. They let you ho out on your own for about 20 minutes to get a good feel for the car. Once I said yes, the paperwork was easy. The no haggle price was extremely fair and so were the interest rates. I never felt like I was in your typical car salesmen type “gotcha” situation. It was all in black and white and super easy to navigate for me being a women with not a lot of car knowledge. I highly recommend using Carmax to anyone! Easiest car buying experience I have ever had! More
I actually would’ve marked it as a really good experience however purchasing with a cashier’s check was a ridiculous mess. My dad had a cashier’s check, the page it was attached to, the bank receipt, his deb however purchasing with a cashier’s check was a ridiculous mess. My dad had a cashier’s check, the page it was attached to, the bank receipt, his debit card and his ID and the manager would not accept that. We had to wait after-hours for them to track down a phone number to call the bank. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. The main reason they did that was because he was supposed to be able to sign into his account online but his password was at home. He doesn’t have them saved on his phone and it’s a half hour drive away at rush hour. So close to an hour round trip. We had gone through all of the steps earlier in the day and had sent over all of the information, including IDs and proof of insurance in advance so this was supposed to be in and out. The lady I worked with earlier in the day did not say that we would need that.. it honestly was just rude. We had all of the paperwork and documentation and again it was completely unnecessary and soured and overall good experience.. More

Sidney was great and extremely helpful when i arrived to pick up the car (I did everything over the phone w Ashley who was so helpful and knowledgeable and quick)- the car had issues once I arrived home and pick up the car (I did everything over the phone w Ashley who was so helpful and knowledgeable and quick)- the car had issues once I arrived home and Sidney helped me get in right away and solve the issue.
