My experience searching, finding, reserving and buying a car at Carmax was the least stressful experience I have ever had purchasing a car. I purchased a Toyota Camry. I had heard and read how Carmax cars were priced higher than other dealers and while some cars I looked at were priced higher, the Camry I ended up buying was very competitively priced, especially based on its excellent condition and low mileage. I worked with Sam Flores at the Carmax in Schaumburg, IL. She was excellent. She explained exactly what the process was, what documents were needed, answered all my questions and kept me informed of the status of my car throughout the entire process. The only issue I experienced was the car I reserved was being shipped from another state and had to be titled in Illinois before I could buy it. It took about 2 weeks before I could actually purchase the car. During that time I was able to test drive the car, visually inspect it and get an out the door price to purchase it. Once the car was titled and cleared for purchase, I made an appointment, was able to do a final check of the car and make the purchase. It was easy and there were no surprises, added fees, etc. The price quoted was the price I paid. The entire buying process was easy and took a little over an hour to complete. And Carmax has a 10 day return policy in which you can return the car after purchase for a full refund. I would highly recommend checking out Carmax if you're looking for a car and ask for Sam Flores. More

How can they do any better? We went car shopping and we both liked 2 cars. I went back the next day and bought the Cherokee. Then my wife like but didn't love it. So on the day she was scheduled for cancer surgery I woke up at 2:30 am made sure the Compass with the FULL Moonroof was still there and went back first thing and asked to exchange. Kameron was great!! Wrote it all up and I was leaving in her Favorite Black Compass with full Moonroof. She cried when I came home with it. After surgery she wanted to ride in the forest and open the roof and look at the colors of the leaves. Thank you CARMAX and Kameron. More
