Any questions that I had, he would find the correct answers. The dealership was another matter. The car I bought was advertised by Carmax as having adaptive cruise control. After I bought it and took it home it became apparent that it did not have that feature. I told them that I wanted to exchange it for a virtually identical car that did have ACC. The sales manager told me that they would do that because it was important that I “loved “ the car. However after many many hours of research by myself and Gabe it became apparent that none of the BMW X5s that were in stock had ACC. They were all shown as having that feature but none of them did actually have it! I think that is called False Advertising. I therefore had a car which was not able to be exchanged for one with ACC. My choice was to return the car, get my trade in back plus the over $20000 cash deposit back. I would then have to start from scratch looking for another car. Ridiculous situation. All they could offer were platitudes and xxxxxxxx. I felt that I was banging my head against a brick wall. The only way to stop was keep the car and accept my losses. I have bought over 7 cars from Carmax in the past. I don’t know who is running the company but I am sure this is not the kind of review they want. I would like to have a response from someone . More
I received immediate text response regarding my online inquiry about a vehicle from a sales manager, letting me know the name of the salesman who would be contacting me. inquiry about a vehicle from a sales manager, letting me know the name of the salesman who would be contacting me. More
Shipping could be better since you only get 7 days for an offer, but overall it was not bad and the VIN number should help us out when we're doing it online to make sure we're putting the right information i offer, but overall it was not bad and the VIN number should help us out when we're doing it online to make sure we're putting the right information in. And you should be able to make an adjustment on the system prior to submitting. Just to see how much money you would want to put down. Make it simple More

Obviously, I was worried and took it back to the dealer I had purchased it from (no accidents on the autocheck) and we inspected the underbelly. We could not find any damage. When I went back to Carmax for verification as to where the damage was located, a location used to anchor the vehicle for towing (previous owner had a battery die and needed it towed) scratched the anchor hole; extremely minor (smaller than a dime). I would not recommend this dealership. More
