Dear CarMax Team, I purchased a vehicle from your dealership yesterday and was surprised to learn after delivery that the vehicle only came with one key. At no point during the sales process was I dealership yesterday and was surprised to learn after delivery that the vehicle only came with one key. At no point during the sales process was I informed that the vehicle had only one key available. When I contacted the salesperson afterward, I was told that the vehicle was sold that way. Had I known this before completing the purchase, I would have addressed the issue at that time. In addition, I was informed that a warning light issue had been repaired before delivery. However, after taking possession of the vehicle, it appears that the issue was not actually resolved. For security reasons, I need a second key for the vehicle. I respectfully request that CarMax assist in locating the missing key, contacting the previous owner, or providing a replacement key. I would also appreciate assistance in resolving the vehicle issue that was represented as repaired. I was contacted by the sales person and he told me that he get the approval for the second key and Murrieta shop will contact me for do the 2 services. Until today, June 8, I dont get respond or call from them. Please let me know what steps can be taken to address these concerns. Thank you for your time and attention. I had an 1130 appointment. I had reserved a car in advance so it really came down to paper work and test driving. I traded in my car and paid cash for the remaining balance. But, there was a long wait and process in the office. I was told there were others ahead, but what I saw was people in the finance department laughing and being jovial. Great, I love that but the process was not moving.. My husband wanted us to cancel the transaction due to being there 4 in a half hours. Every time we asked what was taking so long, we were told we were next. I don’t know what was the hang up, but I never waited this long in the past. More
Michael Ellis (not sure of last name) was friendly and extremely helpful. He asked questions to understand needs and provided many options within our parameters.
