The CarMax of Bristol was a great location with lots of inventory to choose from. Luckily I was able to reserve my 2025 4Runner online before test driving so I had time to make travel arrangements to this inventory to choose from. Unfortunately, the vehicle reconditioning was not quite top tier as I found some leftover details from the last owner in several areas of the vehicle. It was also not noted in the car details that the liftgate power window regulator needed a whole assembly replacement, which has caused some inconvenience after purchasing the car. Brady Barker was very professional and kind, willing to help arrange service appointments, and has followed up with me after purchasing to make sure I am happy with the car and still in good shape. His associates were also helpful when reviewing NC DMV requirement documents for transferring registration from TN to NC. Overall, my experience at CarMax was great since I was only there for a couple of hours before I was able to drive off with my new car! More

Bobby our salesperson was great. Austin the manager was not. Our car only had one key fab. Our car had lots of missing items that the model should have and did not. We only wanted a second key fob. Essentially CarMax sold us a car knowing we were going to drive it off the lot right into the cost of buying a keyfob and programming it. I even called customer service and they said they completely understood but they would not do anything about it. They then had the nerve to ask if there was anything they could do. Even if it is the car you want, go over the car with a fine tooth comb because there will be missing items. We had no spare tire equipment of any kind beside the missing key fob. CarMax included a GreenSlime kit. Well, we have run flat tires on the car we bought. That's how much they care. I would recommend but it's a guarded recommendation. More

I’m definitely a Carmax fan. This is my second truck purchase from Carmax and it won’t be my last. I like the no haggle price and the easy process. No high-pressure sales and I get what I want, not what the salesman wants to sell me like at other dealerships. I like that I can shop dozens of a specific make model and trim of the vehicle that I’m looking for and get it shipped to my local carmax dealership. I did have an issue with the last vehicle I purchased, and I was able to easily return it and exchange it. They paid to ship in the replacement vehicle and kept me on the road while I waited for the new one to arrive. Everyone at the dealership was professional and super courteous, from the person answering the phone to the manager. They listen to my needs and concerns and made sure everything was taken care of. The experience purchasing a previously owned Honda CRV was very successful. The various parameters of the desired vehicle were entered and several vehicles popped up. The delivery charge was an acceptable expense in order to actually observe the CRV close at hand. The loan procurement process was not difficult and occurred with info presumably being obtained from other available sources. A fair amount of information was requested and easily supplied. The fact of the matter is that the presence aat the dealers was in fact the closing and signing of paperwork that was in fact already prepared. There is one loose end to be completed. An owners manual was requested. The dealer Rep advised how to procure the manual. The invoice could then be submitted to Car-Max for reimbursement. The manual was in fact easily procured from an online source. Obtaining reimbursement has proven difficult and has in fact not yet been accomplished. However...... The fact remains that a vehicle meeting specific requirements was located in the Car-Max inventory, was upon payment of the fee delivered to the local Car-Max facility, determined to be as described by the detailed online description, within the promised time , the financing was accomplished on line, delivery was accepted. The transaction was completed in a very satisfactory manner. More
