I had to get my Credit Union on the line cause I paid with a Cashier Check. They wanted to verify if we had money. I can see a personal check but not a cashier check. I wasn't a happy camper. I almost walked out but I really liked the car. The Manager reached out to to let me know it was company policy. I More

The buying experience with Jacob was five star. The car is great with one exception. The right rear tire is leaking 9 pounds of air per week. I think the service department is poor. process is simple enough. took over a week and a half to get a vehicle moved less than 300 miles. of course the offer carmax made on my trade in expired. in person, carmax tri took over a week and a half to get a vehicle moved less than 300 miles. of course the offer carmax made on my trade in expired. in person, carmax tried to give me an insultingly low offer for my trade in. saying value changes daily. doesn't change daily for the vehicles they are selling though. then tried saying my value was lower bc the options i selected for my estimate weren’t included in their updated offer. turns out, they just didn’t do the estimate right. makes me wonder how many people they’ve screwed over in the past that don’t know better. luckily, i know exactly what i had and their offer magically went back up several thousand dollars after i called them out. after viewing the vehicle i had shipped in, turns out there was undisclosed damage that was obvious but not shown in any photos. it was agreed that the damage would be repaired as part of the purchase. cool. trying to get in contact with the service department was terrible. left several unreturned voicemails. eventually got someone and was able to schedule repairs. they agreed to repair a couple other minor things that i had noticed after the fact which was nice. however, that’s where the good stopped. during my trucks appointment, they apparently forgot to actually prepare for what the repair was and no one was available to actually do the repair needed. eventually they got someone in to do paintless dent repair on the hood. i wish i never took my truck their to get it done as it now looks 10x worse and seems like whoever did the repair was doing it for the first time. i could probably have done the repair better myself. they used regular white paint for paint correction instead of the pearl white paint that my truck actually is. and to top it off, the repair that my truck was scheduled to have repaired that day didn’t even get fixed bc they didn’t actually get it scheduled with someone. so to recap, my truck spent an entire day at the shop to come out looking worse than when it went in, to not get the actual repair that was supposed to be done taken care of, and now i gotta take an entire extra day off work to take my truck back in once again to get repaired. i will no longer be dealing with car max moving forward and they have made me actually regret purchasing this truck. Great experience. I worked primarily with Eddie Silva, who was great. We had one minor hiccup that was resolved be a manager, I think his name was Stephen. I had this car transported from another Carmax store in North Carolina. A non/refundable $600 shipping fee for a vehicle I haven’t seen in person is a risk I wouldn’t ordinarily take… but I’m glad I did. T North Carolina. The car is fabulous, the staff at both the North Carolina and San Antonio stores have been professional and efficient. Michael Cerny (not sure why the survey went to my wife, Peggy) More
