A disappointing experience. .. we paid to transfer our vehicle in, and it sat at the dealership for several days before we were contacted to test drive. The purchase experience t .. we paid to transfer our vehicle in, and it sat at the dealership for several days before we were contacted to test drive. The purchase experience took longer than it should have based on a past experience with this CarMax dealership. On the way home, dashboard lights came on, so I contacted my sales rep. It was 3-4 days of me reaching out before I got a text with a business card for someone in service. It took a lot of back-and-forth communication to determine the SUV needed to be towed back to CarMax. Then it took another couple of days to verify that the SUV was still under the original dealer warranty. A couple of more days passed before it was towed to that dealer. I was finally approved for an outside rental car (CarMax had none available), which leaked oil all over my driveway and also had to be towed away...on to rental car #2. The dealer had to "work in" the car which took another week. I ended up going directly to the dealer to have confidence that it would ultimately be resolved. I finally got my car back (minor repair) almost a month after I bought it. There was no follow-up communication from my service rep to see if the repair was adequate once I picked it up. More
I purchased five vehicles within a month and a half period all of them were transferred in and took way longer than it was supposed to one of them that was purchased in January. I am still having issue period all of them were transferred in and took way longer than it was supposed to one of them that was purchased in January. I am still having issues with that. They cannot seem to get it right in service and still waiting on parts. Another one we are waiting for a key fob another one we are waiting for a key fob another truck. We had to take it back to the dealer and sell it back to them and buy it back paperwork only because they went to go register it. They had the mileage incorrect, and I thought they had the power of attorney to change all that which they did not. It has been an inconvenience and their communication has been horrible. Would not recommend again. More
Easiest car buying experience ever. Friendly people, none of that annoying back and forth let me go talk to my manager stuff. Entire process took less than 3 hours!
