I bought a car from Carmax 1 yr and and even though they were okay, my experience at car shop was a lot better in terms of customer service, price, and warranty coverage. I would recommend car shop at Mt Ho were okay, my experience at car shop was a lot better in terms of customer service, price, and warranty coverage. My purchase 3 yrs ago was a nightmare after they hit CASH but after emails to different people high in the company it was all taken care of but took 6 months. My dealings with the service department on regular things, oil changes and so on and one big issue covered by extended warranty was all taken care of, the guys are all friendly and treat you with respect and even know who I am and chit chat about life adventures. So the four stars are for them and the missing negative star is for the sales person who lied about a “we owe you” when I picked up the car 3 years ago. I had the pleasure of working with, April, when purchasing my vehicle. She was very helpful and made the trade in of my vehicle so quick and smooth. Dealer won't replace damaged windshield and the service department cut corners on saftey items twice. I recently purchased a 2019 Volvo XC60 from here. The sales rep, Dana, was very nice and I had a ple department cut corners on saftey items twice. I recently purchased a 2019 Volvo XC60 from here. The sales rep, Dana, was very nice and I had a pleasant sales experience. When I first went to see the car, I asked for the rear brakes to be serviced before the sale as the rear pads were low. Management initially pushed back because the brakes "met state inspection" but Dana talked them into getting it done. The day I bought the car it was raining pretty hard and I stupidly did not check the rear brakes. I later found that they put new brake pads on the old, heavily worn rotors, causing the pads to not make full contact with the rotors. I then had to take time off work to bring the car to their service department. Instead of doing the brake job the right way (new pads + rotors), they gave me new rotors and "scuffed" the existing brake pads (ruined from the old rotors). When I expressed concern, they said that it will be fine and that they "do this all the time". 100 miles later the pads were still not making full contact with the rotors. I then had to take off work to come in a second time, and only then did they give me new pads and rotors. But wait, there's more! When I first saw the car I noticed what I thought was a streak from the wipers on the windshield. Turns out it's a scratch so deep my fingernails catch, and it's directly in my line of sight. It looks as if the last owner ran the wipers without the blades on. I spoke to Cathleen Lucera, the sales manager, and was told that because it is "cosmetic" there is nothing they can do. The only fix for a scratch like this is a full replacement. Safelite quoted me $930. Make sure you carefully inspect the cars here, I paid for a pre purchase inspection but it was done prior to the corner-cut brake job and the inspector did not note the windshield unfortunately. More

Attempting to sell my vehicle so I did an online evaluation. I then made an appointment for a live inspection. They gave me an evaluation higher than the online process good for seven days they want evaluation. I then made an appointment for a live inspection. They gave me an evaluation higher than the online process good for seven days they wanted to take my vehicle on the spot for $18000, but I wanted to go home, remove my belongings. Within an hour leaving they called me with a reduced evaluation of $16400. The reduce figure would require I pay them to take my vehicle due to the vehicle being financed. I went to Carmax for an evaluation at $17500. Carmax honored their evaluation so I sold them the vehicle. Carshop does not honor their buying evaluations. I'm glad I didn't release my vehicle on the spot and they ask for money back. They wanted a survey of my experience which I gave, the manager was suppose to contact me which he never did. My vehicle used on a dealer lot sells for $19000 - $24000 it was in very good shape with minor scrapes on the wheel with an up-grade radio w/CarPlay. More
