After visiting several local dealerships recently we dropped into Carr Chevrolet to browse the inventory ourselves. As we were walking back to our car, we were approached by Jesse Dorris who graciously introduced himself & asked if he could assist. Not so unusual for a salesman at an auto dealership...except Jesse had this ‘special’ posture about him. My wife, who was an F&I manager at a Honda dealership for nearly a decade many years ago, mentioned to me later, that there was something about Jesse she really liked! I agreed. Over the next several days we continued our search, but kept coming back to the realization that, if we were going to buy a truck, we were going to buy it from Jesse! He was uniquely personal, confident in his role, and never pushy or aggressive, which had been our experience with so many others. We are really glad we met him & excited to buy our new Chevy 3500HD Duramax From him. I’ve already rederred Jesse to 2 of my colleagues who are looking for similar trucks. Thank you Jesse! I was promptly ushered into the garage and then taken to the best waiting room of all of Oregon's Chevy dealerships I've been to. Since buying my 2017 Volt I've been looking for a "home" base for the car...I found it today. While wandering around I met Leo Lopez. He asked me if I was interested in seeing some new cars. I asked specifically to see the 2019 Volts he had in stock...I was looking for a blue one. No luck on the blue but there was one that was white. I asked him what was different between the 17 and 19. He actually knew. It's rare to find a sales person that can speak "Volt". Yes, I volunteered to take a test drive. Bear in mind, I wasn't there to buy a new car...but I did. Leo and I had a very friendly haggle. I knew I was being exceptionally stubborn in my search for the perfect deal. Leo would ask to be excused and would leave to consult with management. He'd return with a "absolutely" or a friendly counter offer. I ran this exceptional salesman through the Navy Seals obstical course and back again. He didn't break a sweat. This dealership, and Leo, bent over backwards to make me happy. I drove home in my new Volt. Now I have to explain to a less accommodating wife, why she has a new car.
