For a woman buying a new vehicle I HATE going to buy a car. It has never been a good experience. I’m never going to make as much as my husband and that’s how the salesMEN treat me. It’s awkward, embarrassing and humiliating, but I am the family manager so I’m the one that knows the numbers. There was a time many years ago when I expressed concern over something to my husband and the salesMAN, who up until that point had not really acknowledged I was present, turned to me and asked “And how much do you make again?” So this time when my husband, who works at KTP, decided he wanted to get a new truck I told him he had to go alone. What does he need me to go for? He said, “You have to go, you’re the one who knows this stuff backwards and forwards, besides it’s your money too.” I absolutely dreaded it. This time was different, it wasn’t awful. I actually enjoyed the car buying experience. It seems crazy BUT... Paula was there. It was the first time we’ve ever had a female salesPERSON. She spoke to me as an equal who might have a stake in buying this truck. She was direct and listened to us both. It wasn’t just her either everyone we spoke to was very nice and helpful. So now I want an Edge and I’m going to Paula and Carriage Ford to get it and I’m telling my mother and friends to go there too. More
