I found a car that I liked and the purchase process was straightforward and easy. I was then able to schedule a time for delivery. My first delivery date was canceled and postponed over a week. A couple of hours before the second delivery time Carvana called and said that it would be delayed again until the next day. I had plans to go out of town the following morning. Finally the delivery driver (the only competent Carvana employee I've dealt with) said that he would be able to deliver the car several hours later that the original time. It ended up being almost midnight before he showed up. The car had numerous chips in the paint that were not documented in the sale listing. In fact the sale listing said that there were no cosmetic issues with the car. The delivery driver apologized for the issue and said they Carvana would have this fixed. The repair team contacted me and said the paint would not be fixed. Upon the second delivery delay the local manager said that I would be compensated $25 per day from the original delivery date. He said that a check would be mailed after the 7 day trial period was over. I'm writing this review almost 2 months later and that check has yet to come. I contacted Carvana again and was told that they have no record of this promise. Stick with CarMax if you want a better experience. I've bought several cars from them and never had any issues. To be sure, this should be a 1 star review. Carvana as a whole deserves 1 star. The delivery driver, Will T, is the sole reason for bumping it to 2 stars. More

My wife and I were moving back from being stationed overseas and looking to get a car. We knew it would be an odd situation getting the car registered because we had no permanent address in the U.S so we called Carvana to see if it would be possible to buy a truck so that we would have a vehicle as soon as we arrive back in the states. They told us that we could just use a family member’s address and that registration would be easy, that they would do all the work and that we could call to change the State registration once we got an address in our new State. I called them back about 2 weeks after we got the car and they said I couldn’t change the address and now I would have to get it registered in a state im not living in. The complications from this have led to almost THREE MONTHS without getting any license plates or registration. My temp tag has expired twice. The first time, Carvana would not help me get a temp tag so I couldn’t drive my truck for a week until I finally found a DMV that would give me another temp tag. That temp tag has expired and now I have to drive a rental. After spending all that money I cannot legally drive my truck because of Carvana’s inept abilities to understand different state’s laws on car registration. Additionally, when we got the truck it was not detailed, it was dirty, and there were no floor mats. The representative at the pickup location said that they would ship me floor mats for free but they still have not come. Carvana has lied to me, given me completely wrong information on what forms to fill out and how to fill them out and as a result have had to spend hours on the phone with Carvana trying to get this fixed. Furthermore, I have had to drive to multiple police departments and courthouses to do the paperwork. Its all been for nothing and there is no end in sight. It seems the easy fix would be just to re-do the paperwork to get the registration done in the state I’m living in but they refuse to do that despite the earlier promise that they could. I would not have bought the truck had that bit of information been accurate. I have never been treated so badly by a company in my life and it is a horrible feeling to have spent my hard earned money on a truck that I now cannot drive. On top of that it has added unnecessary stress to an already stressful move after serving overseas for 3 years. At this point I wish more than anything I could just give the truck back, get a refund, and forget about Carvana. This has been a nightmare and I’d highly recommend that other potential buyers (especially military) just go to a dealership and not buy from Carvana. -Logan More

I looked at the manual and it said do NoT drive it with those 2 warning lights on, take it to dealership immediately!! I called DYLAN, no answer, left message for him to come tow the car to dealership, never called back. Called carvana, held for 49 minutes 3 times, called silver lake since I had bought the extended warranty, they did nothing, said call carvana. Finally cancelled the down payment check, at 3AM. Had them pick up the car Monday evening. Terrible customer service, AFTER they get your money, they ignore you. Service contract is a joke!! Do not use!!!! More

Things I didn’t like Delays for both cars I decided to switch to another car They still have not paid my trade in balance and I’m still getting a bill and late fees from former car. I had to bring my car to emissions. It didn’t pass. And then I was getting emails asking me for emissions. Customer service phone is always busy. And they can’t find out answers directly. Still waiting to hear why my trade in that was taken a month ago hasn’t been paid off. So I’m definitely not happy with experience. More

I asked him if I need to follow-up with a reminder and he said no. It has been several weeks now since I took delivery and the part has not arrived. It was a very small part that would not have sank the deal but I still felt lied to. Notwithstanding, I still give the operation 5 stars but advise buyers to be wary of promises made by delivery personnel. More

I had setup a PPI inspection for Friday, and Thursday morning I was notified that the car was delayed. I had to push out inspection and this also cut into my 7 day return policy window. 2) When I went to pick up the car: - The second key was missing (to be resolved) - The mileage was ~800 miles greater than I was told (they recharged me minimally) - The car was empty of fuel. Had to ask Carvana and wait for him to take it to a gas station to fill up. - The car was filthy and I had to have it detailed even though its advertised as premium detail 3) The inspection found that the car had a failed bearing - the 100 day warranty took care of the repairs, but I just bought the car and then it had to go directly to the shop! 4) The car already had a warning lights on the dash because it was due for service - and the PPI confirmed that the brake fluid was "filthy". After discussing on the phone with Carvana, they told me that they would take care of it - 2 days later I am told by the warranty company that they will not replace brake fluid unless it is at failure! Are you kidding? Also discovered that an oil change will be due very very soon. So I buy a 'premium pre-owned car' and I already have to pay $500 in maintenance? DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT. 5) In the end, resulted in getting a new car and having more trouble than I could have expected. Carvana told me that they would work with me and I was let down. More
