First thing, they knew exactly when I was arriving, yet they did not have the vehicle out front, clean with no snow on it when I arrived. Disappointing for a $34k sale. Then, when I headed home in it, the moment I hit 60 MPH, the truck and steering wheel vibrated violently so I turned around and took back. It went into service and it turned out they needed to rebalance all the tires. This is after the salesperson told me it drove great. This was a purchase over the internet and the salesperson failed to reveal that there were two burn holes in the seats. When I purchased the vehicle I asked if they had sone the 60k mile service which includes new spark plugs and an air filter and the answer was yes. When I got home, I checked both the air filter and pulled a spark plug out and neither were new. "Trust but verify" with this dealership. More
I brought my 2016 4Runner in for service on April 5,2021. The next day after the service I noticed there was an oil spot on the cement where the 4 Runner was parked. I moved the 4Runner and the next 5,2021. The next day after the service I noticed there was an oil spot on the cement where the 4 Runner was parked. I moved the 4Runner and the next morning there was a new spill. I called Carver and they wanted me to bring it in. I told the person I talked to that I lived 60 miles away and didn't fell comfortable driving that far. So the person I talked to said I could take it to a local garage which I did. It turned out the drain plug was very loose. He added oil and tightened the drain plug. I called back the next morning and talked to I believe Dale. He was very nice and took $50.00 off my credit card. I have had the 4Runner serviced every time since I bought it at Carver's but one time(2020 because of Covid) and always had a excellent service. We are very pleased with the sales and service we receive at Carver Toyota. The service department is always helpful and explains everything so that a non-car person can understand what is needed, and I hav at Carver Toyota. This will be our 5th Toyota, and I can tell you that I do not plan to purchase anything except Toyotas. The Carver people are exceptional in how they present themselves to their customers. More
