Transmission rebuild. I had my car in for the 100,000 mile service, as it was just about to turn over 100K. I had complained in the past about a vibration in the trans. The service department found the trans issue, and were able to rebuild the trans under warranty. Chris Scholer went out of his way to make sure I was happy, and that my cars are always running great. Very disappointing waste of time and gas. I live in Rockford Illinois and I've been looking at GMC Canyons for quite some time. After reviewing the inventory at Gary Lang I saw one I liked. I live in Rockford Illinois and I've been looking at GMC Canyons for quite some time. After reviewing the inventory at Gary Lang I saw one I liked. I live nearly and hour and a half away; this morning when they opened I contacted them to ensure they still had the one I wanted before I drove in to see it and likely purchase it. When I called at 9:00am right after they opened I was told they still had the vehicle on hand. My wife and I made the trip in. When we got there and sat down we were told it was out on test drive and wouldn't be back until sometime the next day. I haven't been that disgusted in a long time. One of two things happened. Either the person that told me over the phone didn't know it was out on test drive and wouldn't be back until the next day, or they new all along and just wanted to get us in there to do the bait and switch thing. Car dealers are closed on Sundays, which means the truck had been gone on test drive since Saturday and won't be back until Tuesday. That is 3 days for a test drive. If indeed it was out on test drive that long, I would think an organization that has it's act together would have a way to flag their system it is unavailable. I'm sure they have much better performance than this but this is obviously not a good experience at all. They have my number and my email; we will see if they contact us. I will update this review or place another review in a few days. More
