Funny. We didnt get a copy of that repair order after our vehicle was held hostage for 3 wks during the Christmas holidays. What we were told in an in office meeting with Jeff Hampstead and Lance Franklin, was we were receiving a NEW crate motor since the service techs didnt do the job they were paid to do initially (the $2500 cost for repairs in the September month prior) which caused our timing chain to chew itself up all the way to Minot ND thus leaving us stranded up there during the Thanksgiving week. Im old school and believe a persons word is their bond. Neither one of those gentlemen even remotely understand that. That trip cost me over $4K in having my vehicle trailered home from North Dakota. Had to buy another car just to get us and our USAF airman daughters belongings home from her previous duty station, as well as addional days lodging while we tried to locate a transport company that would bring our Expedition home during the week of Thanksgiving!! Then Hampstead & Franklin want to play hard ball with us when we presented them with a demand for reimbursement and held our vehicle hostage in the repair shop until we signed a letter stating we wouldnt sue Cavender Ford for the situation THEY caused. Both my hubby & i sat in Franklins office and heard BOTH men say "NEW CRATE MOTOR". So that right there confirms my earlier statement of the dealership being a bunch of lying shady deceptive individuals and how Cavender Ford conducts their business dealings with the consumer public. Yes this issue occured over 4 yrs ago but judging from other peoples reviews of this dealership, i can see nothings changed. And we were repeat customers until this incident. I wouldnt accept a vehicle from this dealership if they gave it to me free and clear.

Investigate....so you can do what? Reimburse me for the monies i had to come out of pocket with thanks to your service techs ineptitude on my original service order of $2500 or the over $4K i HAD to spend to get us & our vehicle home, from a town where we knew NOBODY during a holiday week? Or do you just want to blow more smoke up my dress? We had to absorb the cost of trailering our vehicle to your stealership once we got our vehicle back home because you guys are trained not to let 1 red cent out your doors. I know Franklin is gone and Hampstead still has his job. Soooo......?? What?? Theres no way in hell im going to change my review of your dealership. You should try "honesty" as a new sales tactic. It just might increase your profit margins. Sad part is my father-in-law bought all his vehicles from your location. Drove all the way from Nicoma Park just to deal with you guys. He bought the Expedition for us because he got a good deal and was a repeat customer. And hes got more money than God. Never again. If my review saves just one person (or hopefully many), from turning over their hard earned cash to a stealership thats just going to forget them the minute they sign on the dotted line, then my work here will be done.
