The customer service that I received from Hudiburg Subaru was unsatisfactory and disrespectful. I received poor treatment from my service advisor. I was not taken seriously and was treated as if I was clearl was unsatisfactory and disrespectful. I received poor treatment from my service advisor. I was not taken seriously and was treated as if I was clearly a waste of his time. When my service advisor realized that I had signed up for two recalls (which he happened to realize only at the beginning of the appointment when I was at the dealership) while also choosing/opting in to wait at the dealership, he asked my age and condescendingly said that I "should have given them a call and not talked to other girls about these things," as there was no way that they could possibly be done within the 5 hour time-frame allotted. If he would have kindly told me that there wasn't any way that they could finish it in that time and then proceeded to talk about the next steps, that would have been fine and understandable. However, that comment was wildly uncalled for and simply rude. My understanding from his condescending tone and comment is that because I am a younger woman, I have no idea what I am doing, therefore the only way I could have made this error was illogically talking to other "girls" that have no experience with Subaru recalls and services. However, I didn't "talk to other girls" when I got the recall documents in the mail.... I made an appointment to get my car serviced like I was instructed to do and anyone logically should do. When I initially scheduled the appointment, I never received any message, email, or phone call from the dealership to let me know that it would take longer and that waiting at the dealership was not an option. How was I supposed to know this? Especially when the estimated time it would take for them to finish the services was not listed on the documents that I received? He then proceeded to talk down to me, scolding me about how I missed my 30,000 mile inspection, which I already knew. I did not schedule this inspection due to personal reasons and the timing of the inspection being at the start of the lockdowns due to the pandemic. Little does he know, I had my oil changed elsewhere during that time. I also received poor treatment from him for the noise inspection. I had a noise that was coming from outside of the vehicle near the front on the driver's side. They failed to find the noise in the front of the vehicle on their own at first, which is understandable without me being there to pinpoint the noise, but he proceeded to attempt to convince me that the noise was coming from the back hatch despite any noise ever coming from that part of the car... When I kindly told him that I was not convinced that that was the source of the noise, he got frustrated and rudely tried to convince me that I didn't know what I was talking about or hearing due to "harmonics" to the point that he questioned if the noise even existed (as if I am hearing things or made this up?). This was laughable. Anyways, he told me that they were going to take it out one more time to try and pinpoint the noise, so I then asked if I could come by to sit in on that drive to help pinpoint the noise and to speed up the process. He proceeded to get annoyed saying that "you know we have things we need to do here", like I was wasting his time and as if he didn't just tell me that he was already going to take it out again.... It was clear from this point in time that he just simply did not believe me. However, he finally agreed to let me come in and ride with someone else, a service tech (?), to find the noise. I was able to pinpoint the noise to the service tech within minutes of our drive together and he agreed that it was indeed coming from where I had initially stated. From the beginning, the service tech believed me and really tried to help me, listening to my concerns and reaffirming that it is helpful for the customer to sit with them to pinpoint the noise, as the customer knows their car best. The only reason I am rating this review higher than a one star review is due to the kindness of this man (service tech) that helped me try to pinpoint the noise. He was patient and went above and beyond in trying to find the noise (at one point even riding on the outside of my car). He was respectful and truly cared. I wish that I had gotten his name, but I was just so caught up in trying to prove the existence of the noise itself that I had forgotten. I have no idea what caused the service advisor's insolent behavior towards me, but it was uncalled for. This needs to be addressed and corrected. I will not be scheduling future services with this service advisor, and it is very unlikely that I will come back to Hudiburg Subaru. More
I got a good price on my Forester when I moved to Oklahoma and they've been maintaining the vehicle well ever since!
