I have bought a number of cars from Hudiburg in the past and have never been disappointed with the exception of one service experience. Hudiburg Subaru is probably the best car dealership I have ever visited and commend the entire staff and management. I also was impressed with the receptionist, an older lady that affirmed my opinion that hiring more experienced staff in a customer relations position is wise and in the best interest of both customer and a dealership. Previously I have always given Hudiburg Subaru high marks in customer service, but after yesterday, I question them. Had my 2018 Outback in for the 36,000 mile service which is basically a tire rotation a in customer service, but after yesterday, I question them. Had my 2018 Outback in for the 36,000 mile service which is basically a tire rotation and oil change. The service rep came out to me and informed me that "whomever had completed the last oil change had over-torqued the oil plug stripping it and the pan, folding over the threads". He made it seem very dire indeed. When I informed him that only Subaru had ever touched my vehicle and in fact it was Hudiburg Subaru who performed the last service, he tried to walk back his comments. Amazingly since it was their fault, it did not need any further attention. I checked with some mechanic friends and they all recommended a new oil pan since the threads were stripped/folded over. I emailed the service department yesterday and they have yet to contact me. I have never seen a drop of oil on my concrete in the garage, so I will watch closely for any showing up. More
