My wife's car had a routine oil. change on 4252026 at which a cooking system flush, brake fluid exchange, fuel injector flush and cabin filter change was recommended. It was taken bac change on 4252026 at which a cooking system flush, brake fluid exchange, fuel injector flush and cabin filter change was recommended. It was taken back for brake fluid flush on 4302026. We did not get the car back until 3 weeks later and only after threatening. There was a lot of warranty work done including fixing a leaking engine, replace in the transmission, etc. note this was for a 2023 car that was functioning fine. Since then we have had to have the car taken back 3 times because if an engine light. One time the car xxxx down for about 3 minutes at a traffic light. The first time they tried to get my wife to buy a new battery. She fussed and they covered the cost. Today I am back in the dealership because the engine light keeps coming back on. Naturally they cannot find anything wrong with it. The first service advisor my wife was assigned was fired for not upselling unwarranted work. The wrong one has also left the dealership. Reading other online reviews I am more convinced than ever that his dealership is shady to the nth degree. I hope the new management turns things around. More
after reading all the other 1 star reviews I totally agree with CENTRAL HOUSTON CADILLAC being one of the most deceptive, underhanded worst dealerships I have dealt with in the last 50 years. first time agree with CENTRAL HOUSTON CADILLAC being one of the most deceptive, underhanded worst dealerships I have dealt with in the last 50 years. first time in 50 years someone tried to tell me I have to spend an additional $6000. dollars on something I dont want without even asking??? there is much more so BEWARE, VERIFY, IN FINANCE DO NOT SIGN WITHOUT GETTING EVERY EXPENSE EXPLAINED. this will sound funny but b4 pulling away check to make sure you have gas in the tank, tire pressure is good and for a disabled veteran make them put a front license plate on your car. fyi STATE LAW!!! Worst service ever. Everyone that’s works at this company are liars. All of their cats a lemons or damaged in some type of way. Go any place but this company. Honestly, the only positive to this is Amy in finance was great. Otherwise, the entire car buying process was a disaster unfortunately. What started out as fine, because of course they want you to buy from t great. Otherwise, the entire car buying process was a disaster unfortunately. What started out as fine, because of course they want you to buy from them, turned sour as soon as we signed the paperwork. We purchased a used Ford Expedition from them that needed leather work and a new windshield so we did not go home with the car the day we signed. Over the next 8 days, communication was garbage. We have in writing proof of salesmen advertising it as on the lot and available after us signing the paperwork for it. Sure definition of bait and switch by the FTC. The updates on the status of the car were sparse and getting ahold of anyone at the dealership was impossible. I was always told to expect a call back and never got one. Fast forward to picking up the car, they “detailed it” while it was still dirty all over inside and pink waxy stuff all over the outside of it. Yesterday, less than 4 days after having the vehicle and the third time driving it, guess what? The engine is overheating. $2300 later and no call back from any manager I asked for yesterday, it’s fixed. I couldn’t recommend this dealership any less and will be taking further action. I don’t want the standard response to this review telling me to reach out because reaching out is a waste of my time. I’ve never had a single email responded to in this process or a call back when I leave a message asking for one. More
The term "BAIT AND SWITCH" is EXACTLY WHAT THIS DEALERSHIP PRACTICES. As with so many of the other reviewers I too had the exact same thing happen to me, I was lured in by a "market value" price fo DEALERSHIP PRACTICES. As with so many of the other reviewers I too had the exact same thing happen to me, I was lured in by a "market value" price for a used truck. Only to find an additional $6,995 for a "non-negotiable" fee for "extended service" (Cadillac Care) added to the sales price of the truck. I did ask that it be removed and was told "non-negotiable". I have added another F review with the BBB on this dealership. However, there have been so many people who have filed similar complaints with this dealership, as recent as 2 days ago and at least 9 years back with the same issue I am sure the dealership believes this is the way to treat potential customers. Unless you want to have a frustrating and loss of a day of time, I highly recommend you find another dealer as will I. More
This review reflects my experience with the PRE-OWNED car sales department. I found a vehicle online that was advertised at a very attractive “below market value” price. I visited the dealership, test drove sales department. I found a vehicle online that was advertised at a very attractive “below market value” price. I visited the dealership, test drove the car, and began negotiations. Unfortunately, that’s when the experience started to unravel. After agreeing on the advertised price, an additional $7,000 was added under “Cadillac Care” and a vague “government fees” category. The Cadillac Care package appeared to be essentially a powertrain warranty — something that can typically be purchased independently for far less from a reputable third-party provider. These add-ons were not clearly disclosed upfront. After several rounds of negotiation over three days, I was able to get the $7,000 reduced to $1,000. However, I was then informed that I could not pay fully in cash, as originally planned. I was told I needed to finance part of the purchase — presumably because the dealership receives incentives from lenders. I agreed to proceed with financing despite my preference to pay cash. In the middle of the financing process, I was then informed that the vehicle had been sold to someone else. BUYER BEWARE: In TEXAS, the required state fees are straightforward — 6.25% motor vehicle sales tax plus standard title and registration fees. Texas also caps the dealer documentation fee at $150. Customers should review every line item carefully and independently verify what is actually required by the State of Texas versus what is dealership-added. After three days of back-and-forth discussions, this was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The overall experience felt very “old school” — heavy on tactics and add-ons, light on transparency. I hope future customers are given clearer, upfront pricing and a more straightforward buying process. More
Terrible dealership. I purchased a $125K Escalade from them and later discovered that they failed to include the entertainment center headsets that come with the car. T I purchased a $125K Escalade from them and later discovered that they failed to include the entertainment center headsets that come with the car. The salesman said he would ship them to me as I live in LA but after four follow up texts/calls, I got nowhere and called for the General Manager. He was "on the phone" and they said he would call me back. He never did. I will have to contact Cadillac to get resolution. Terrible experience...I will never buy another vehicle from this weak dealership. Alfredo was my salesman and he is worthless More
Deceptive is an understatement based on my experience with them. I inquired about a used 2024 Lyriq they had advertised online for just over $38k. I was looking for an out the door price with no trade with them. I inquired about a used 2024 Lyriq they had advertised online for just over $38k. I was looking for an out the door price with no trade and was given a figure of over $49k. There was a $7,000 (plus tax) extended warranty and service plan added to price (Cadillac Care). I told them I was not interested in that and the dealer replied “it’s optional and can be removed.” So I asked them to remove it and asked about the taxes. They then asked if I would be willing to finance the vehicle with them instead of paying cash. I told them I was if there was an incentive to doing that. I then get a reply back saying “actually my manager said $49k is the best we can do.” So basically they are advertising unattainable sale prices and then trying to force people to buy add ons which is not ethical or possibly even legal. Absolutely the worst dealership experience I’ve had in from a dealership in TX. The level of unprofessionalism from both the management and sales rep, Kendrick, was beyond unacceptable especially when dea from a dealership in TX. The level of unprofessionalism from both the management and sales rep, Kendrick, was beyond unacceptable especially when dealing with $150K+ vehicles. I had a done deal in place for a 2025 Escalade V. All the paperwork was supposed to be sent over, and I waited for hours with no response, only to find out the car was sold out from under me. This isn’t the first time either. The same thing happened during a previous attempt with this dealership. If you value your time, money, and respect as a customer, take your business elsewhere. They will string you along, then sell the car behind your back. Very unprofessional. More
