Kia provided one of the best car-buying experiences we have ever had. Other dealerships we visited the same day seemed less than enthusiastic about helping customers, but at Kia the whole vibe was relaxed have ever had. He answered every question we had without trying to rush us, both during the buying process and when we took delivery of the car. Before reading this, yes I am an idiot and didn't advocate for myself. I went in to purchase a vehicle on 6/15/23. I have 0 issue with the sales professional who helped me. I have a major issue with advocate for myself. I went in to purchase a vehicle on 6/15/23. I have 0 issue with the sales professional who helped me. I have a major issue with their financing dept. To start with, I accept that I should have pushed back and asked for clarification on everything along the way but I didn't so that is on me. What is not on me is the fact that never once was a price for every additional thing laid out plainly. I was never told a dollar amount per item and I blindly went along with it, assuming best intentions. I got a 23 Kia Niro Wind. The MSRP was $41,110. The dealer addons were $2,995 for their value package and $3,000 for the market adjustment. I did not argue this price or try to haggle, trying to work in good faith with them. The issue arised when David, the finance guy, started adding features. I clearly remember saying I didn't want some tire repair/replace/fix feature cause it was 10+ more a month. With all the add ons, which again I did not clearly read and inquire about along the way. What was added was $4,500 for Ally Premeir Protection with Major Guard EV. Some Tire/Wheel Road Hazard for $1,190 (that agian, when told it was going to run me 10 more a month I said no thanks but then they included at the 680 a month quote cause they "worked in it without costing more"). Some EasyCare windsheild,paint, and ect coverage for $2,500 extra. Lastly ELO GPS for $310.00. This brought my, MSRP of $41,100 dollar, with their adjustment and packages, to $47,105.00 then adding everyhting else I was at $60,481. I put 20k down and should have known instantly when quoted 680 a month it was wrong but, I put my faith in them and trust the process. This is utterly scummy behavior. I was never, in words, told the final price just the monthly payment. Again, I take my fault for not having fought back, asked more questions, and ect. At the same time they took as much advantage of me as possible and I most certainly do not recommend anyone to ever due business with Central Kia of Plano, and possibly any Central Kia's, if this is how they operate. Avoid this place. More
