The car was impeccable, a rare find with low mileage and manual transmission. Since the dealership seeks out BMW's and other luxury cars, they employ a mechanic who specializes in those cars. After buying the car at auction, they did a full inspection of the vehicle and proactively replaced a couple of the typical trouble spots that the X3 has. The sales staff was helpful and not pushy. They were honest and made the trade in of my old car and transfer of my registration seamless. The real reason for me to write this review is because of the follow up. After driving the car for about a week, I noticed a noise coming from the cabin blower motor. I called them about it, and without any hesitation they told me to bring it in and they would replace it free of charge. Overall great customer service and a quality selection of cars that you might not find everywhere. I would recommend them highly. More

Before I called Mike, I got a loan offer from my bank and had looked at 2 mustangs in person and countless online. Before I left one of the non sales employees wanted to let me know he put the cover in the trunk(it was just a nice touch to feel like everyone there cared). One thing needed attention and they wanted to fix it but I had to drive it away that day so he told me to get it fixed and send the bill. I did, and he rounded up to the nearest hundred and paid me via check delivered immediately. For Me: This guy finds the best rate Knew what he was doing start to finish as if he were a manager was polite(a nice guy when you call out of the blue), kind(he listened to story after story of mine while he typed), professional(I brought a loved one and felt great to be there), understanding(knew what I needed to buy a car and stepped up as if it were normal par for the course for instance the high rate my own bank was giving me), patient(was happy to listen and work with me after he knew I wanted the car), knowledgeable(he used to be a tech and I felt that in his easy yet confident and thorough demeanor)but still gave me that good experience I bought something Had the best car by way far, hands down Nice place nice location, was a professional but friendly atmosphere, and a lot of higher end cars Followed through immediately on what he promised and overdelivered on his promise - super trustworthy. The following observations are what made Central Motor Sales a great place to do business and are why I'm thankful I came across them in my car search. -They had a small team of 3 people who answered the phone every time when I called. Each team member knew the exact details of my transaction and they were able to help me out on the spot without having to leave voicemails, wait for call backs, or retell my situation to a new service member every call. -Central Motor Sales prices their cars exactly at the market price. They don't price it way below the market, but they also don't overcharge you. They gave me a fair price which aligned with KBB and similar models on Autotrader and Cars.com. They are confident in their prices and let me walk out the first time we negotiated and I was only looking to get $1,000 off the price they listed. -They gave me a good trade. I did Edmunds and KBB on my trade in vehicle and they gave me the upper end of what it was worth. -They had great service after the sale. I let a couple things fall through the cracks and required a few faxes, follow up calls, and needed things sent in the mail. I was a pain in the xxx and they didn't need to be good to me. They were though and that is why I'm writing this. Eliot, the owner, is a solid guy who follows through on his promises and is the opposite of the stereotypical "used car salesman" personality. -They offer financing and competitive rates. I drove down from Maine to test drive a car at Central Motor Sales. I was able to test drive, buy, trade in, and finance my car all within a 2 hour period. I drove home with my new car that day. -They have a very classy selection. They don't have thousands of cars. Right now on their website they have 93 cars for sale which is still a good number. You can tell though that they are very selective and strategic in the cars that they do have. They are nice, classy, and tasteful. They have a lot of newer cars from BMW and then a nice selection from Audi, Mercedes, VW, Volvo, Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti. Throw in a few Hondas and Subarus and you can definitely find a nice car. It was worth the drive from Maine to get my car. If you find a car there and are on the fence if you should check it out, trust me it will be a good experience. No pressure, great selection, and good people As simple as it sounds, it is hard to find, but I'm confident Eliot and his team will be good to you, like he was to me. More

While looking for a used Toyota Tundra, I came across a 2004 with less than 35000 miles. At $17,900, it was listed at $200 above high bluebook price, which although high, would indicate a vehicle in excel 2004 with less than 35000 miles. The pictures presented on the dealer website showed a vehicle in beautiful condition. According to the Carfax, it had been obtained by the dealer at auction, so I was curious as to why such a vehicle would have been auctioned. Since my daughter and fiance live much closer to the dealer than I, they agreed to check out the vehicle in person. I only wish this review could include the pictures they sent. There was so much rust and corrosion everywhere that it appeared the truck had either been in a flood, or driven into the ocean. This was definitely not minor salt damage from winter roads. The spare wheel was so rusted, it would have been unusable. This dealer will be lucky to find a sucker to buy this truck at any price. Carfax had very few important facts regarding the condition of this vehicle, and all of their assurances with their fine print guarantees were absolutely worthless. More

Wednesday night at 5:18 pm Mike text me and tells me that he just sold the vehicle and Sorry . I went through the trouble of seeking the best finance rate nad would be there in two days . What the heck . Bad public relations , and customer care I would say forget about it . I was looking forward to buying this vehicle and taking my wife to the premium outlets while there . I found Eliot, Mike, and Dan to be interested in selling me the car I wanted in good condition with the best warranty possible. They made every effort to accommodate. I left feeling I had made a good deal with an honest man. To prove that point, occasionally a car does not behave perfectly. The timing belt slipped after I had driven the car 340 miles (through no fault of the Central Motor Sales) and the engine seized, requiring a new engine. Eliot and I worked out a very satisfactory deal to me but I am certain it was not the best deal for him. He was wonderful. I would not hesitate to send someone to them to buy a car. You will enjoy working with all the guys. More
