When Century BMW sells a vehicle as "Certified Pre-Owned" , do they really certified the car as "CPO" or they just give it to the customer without checking the vehicle and marked it as "Certified Pre-Owned" , do they really certified the car as "CPO" or they just give it to the customer without checking the vehicle and marked it as "Certified Pre-Owned" ? In reality, they just give it to the customer without checking the vehicle at all.. On April, 2013 , I purchased a "Certified Pre-Owned" 335i Coupe from Century West BMW. From the day I've got the vehicle I encountered so much problems with the car. 1.) When I drove away the car from the dealership I have noticed that there was a warning signal in my dashboard. When I got home, I found out the headlights are not working. If this car is certified, this minor problem should have been seen & fixed first before you handed the vehicle to the customer. I tried to make an appointment with the service department but they were unable to give me a loaner car on that week so I decided to bring it to a different BMW dealership. 2.) Recall. When I brought my car at the other BMW dealership for headlights replacement, I was told that this car has a recall and they are going to work on it at the same time. . If this car is certified, Century West should have been work on the recall before they sell this vehicle as "CPO" 3.) Swerving Issue. I have notice that this car has a swerving problem from Day 1 but since it was a CPO , I was thinking maybe it's normal for a BMW as I was really confident that when they say that I was getting a certified pre-owned means they already check everything before they handed it to the customer. Until one morning, when I was driving at the freeway, I experienced a sharp swerve and I had a hard time controlling the steering wheel. This is a serious problem that could cause death for selling a vehicle that supposedly CPO but it wasn't. 4.) Power Loss. When the speed of the car is below 40 miles/hr, it's losing power - like it runs out of gas for seconds. Still, I have this peace of mind that it's a CPO car until after two months when my car totally lost power while I was driving at the traffic. I stopped driving this car from that day until I've got an appointment at to fix my car at other reliable dealership. 5.) Tires. I was told by your salesman that the tires are NEW. To my disappointment, it was not new & never been replaced. Why do you need to make false statement just to make a sale? 6) Loud & Grinding Noise when reversing at lower speed. As of today, my 2 months old car is still in the repair shop for more than a week now .They are still trying to diagnose & figure out how to fix the issues especially the power loss. Century BMW sold me a junk for the amount of $43,000.00 I tried several times to contact this people from Century West but no one bothered to return my call & emails .I decided to post a comment at their Facebook page with my expectation that they will communicate with me but regretfully , they just DELETED my post More
The worst place to buy a BMW from. The worst place to make business with. If you want to pay more than what your car is worthed for, this place is where you should go. If you want to donate your money to make business with. If you want to pay more than what your car is worthed for, this place is where you should go. If you want to donate your money to some thieves, this place is where they are waiting for you. You are always dis-satisfied with this place. During the entire 3 years of business with them, I never stepped out happy from this dealership. Why go here when there are other dealers giving you better opptions with better prices. Are you going to believe I paid $635 for a sedan 3-series BMW for 3 yars and at the end when I returned the car with 12000 less millage they still charged me for $1700 for wheels and some scratches on the car. They ignored the fact that I already paid almost $9000~$10000 for the months that I paid and didn't drive the car. Even they were surprised how they leased a 3 series, 4 door, sedan car to me for that price. First thing they agreed was I got a really bad deal, so they started asking me about the persons name who sold the car and of course he was not working there anymore. In adiition they told me whoever was the sells person was a very gridy personality for giving that deal to me. This place sucks very bad. Never do business with this dealership. You can always have the BMW you want with much much less and fair prices if you take it from other dealership. More
I just purchased a new 328iC from Century West. Car-buying is always a bit of a chore but the Century West sales staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. My sales advisor was Suzanne Kingston an Car-buying is always a bit of a chore but the Century West sales staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. My sales advisor was Suzanne Kingston and she is terrific. I came into the process very unsure about what I wanted and we looked at CPOs and new 3 and 6 convertibles for several visits. Suzanne was very patient and helpful and I never felt any pressure to buy. I don't normally post reviews on sites like these but there is a very negative review about Suzanne on this site and I feel obliged to share my opinion. I have previously bought a CPO 5 from Suzanne and she will get all of my business for as long as she works at Century West. I was also pleasantly surprised by the lack of "upselling" at the end of the process. At other dealerships I've purchased from (Rusnak Porsche is the worst) the standard end-game appears to be a high-pressure sales pitch in the finance guy's office for additional (worthless) warrantees and things. There was none of this at Century West which I thought was respectful to the customer. More

Where to begin. I purchased a pre-certified BMW last year from Century West. While everything seemed good at the beginning, little did I know that Century West was totally incompetent on enough areas, one of from Century West. While everything seemed good at the beginning, little did I know that Century West was totally incompetent on enough areas, one of which could I have gotten my car impounded, had I been pulled over. 1. After acquiring the car, I found out that they failed to note the change of the new owner in the BMW database, so when I went to Center BMW for service, it still showed the previous guy. 2. They put the wrong plates on the car, so while they were new they were not ones actually registered to me or the car. I only found out, when it came time to register the car for 2011 and I had gone to the Thousand Oaks DMV. They - Century West had given my plates to someone else. The DMV told me that had I been pulled over for speeding or whatever, the police would have impounded the car and I could face additional fines. 3. I let Century West BMW know this. What's worst is they put the plates on the car to begin with, at the dealership. Their response: It is not our fault and I should be grateful they paid the first year's registration fees and got me my plates. 4. When I notified my sales person Fabio or whatever about the car issues, he seemed indifferent. Their guy who handles pre-certs, is equally clueless. 5. The deal on the car was great, fully loaded,2007 Certified pre-owned BMW, with the additional sports suspension, but I would never get another car from them again, because it just isn't worth it. I am in the market for a new X3 BMW now, and wouldn't pick these guys if they were the only dealership in LA. Rather, I would drive to San Diego. More
I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. They were very knowledgeable and helpful and made my experience very pleasant. Other BMW dealers behave like they are doing you a great big favor by coming outside to help you and answer your questions - and I mean every dealership I went to (Bob Smith, Rusnak, Center, Steve Thomas, Beverly Hills, etc.) acted this way. I highly recommend this dealership, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had purchasing a vehicle! More
The employees seem friendly up front, but their behaviors are driven primarily by profit and making lots of money. There is little to no focus on customer service. are driven primarily by profit and making lots of money. There is little to no focus on customer service. More
