I normally give Chalmers Ford in ABQ excellent reviews. However, I was slightly disappointed at my last oil change in their Quick Lane dept. I was called back to the service advisor's desk and I thought my However, I was slightly disappointed at my last oil change in their Quick Lane dept. I was called back to the service advisor's desk and I thought my truck was ready. What I got was being told there were other things that needed attention. Coolant flush: I have 58K miles and Ford recommends this to be at 200,000 miles. Brake fluid flush. Ford says every 3 years, so this was OK. Cabin Air Filter. Ford says 20,000 miles. I just did mine at about 45,000. They said their recommendation was "based on mileage" so this was not due to an actual visual inspection. Alignment check, but this was just done in their main service dept. at my last oil change about 4 months ago. Transmission fluid change, but this is not due until 150,000 miles. I rejected all these suggestions. I felt more like I was in a JiffyLube than a trusted dealer service department. More
