Profit over People at Nissan New Braunfels! If I could give this place zero stars, I would... be ready for the shakedown! Do NOT trust this place, especially Garret Kinsey Be Warned...This dealership operates on deception and outright extortion. The advertised prices? Fake. Only after you show up will you be notified of a mandatory $2,000 “apex warranty package” that they refuse to remove. This allows them to avoid any negotiation on vehicle price b/c you spend your time trying to fight the price of the mandatory package that you didn't ask for and don't need. When I called them out on this shady practice and asked if it's mandatory on all vehicles, Garrett Kinsey, the so-called ‘manager,’ had the audacity to tell me, “Every customer pays for it one way or another.” In other words, they’ll squeeze the money out of you somehow—whether through an unneeded warranty, hidden fees, or some other scam. I stood my ground, and Garrett made it clear that this was standard practice. He even told me, point-blank, that he was fine with me walking away and costing his salesman a commission rather than sell the car for the advertised price because “Somebody else will come in and pay.” So basically, they’re happy to scam someone else if you don’t take the bait... and they don't even care about their own employees. It's not lip service either.. I literally left the dealership with no objection from them but ended up returning to please my wife. And to top it all off? After finally closing the deal, Garrett smugly signed off with, “Easy peezy, lemon squeezy.” As if ripping people off is just another casual day at the office for him. I do want to say that my salesman actually seemed like a decent guy—he was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly wanted to do right by me. But it was obvious he was at the mercy of the toxic, dishonest culture set by Garrett and the dealership’s leadership. He had no choice but to push this ridiculous warranty package because that’s how this place forces every deal to go. Nissan of New Braunfels is a complete joke and an insult to honest car buyers. If they’re this shady about pricing, imagine what else they’re hiding—hidden damage? Dishonest financing? Lifetime service scams? I wouldn't trust any department based on what is allowed to take place. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. This dealership does not care about you! More
Wasted a couple hours here today. Advertised "Certified" price was $15595 but once we sat down to do the deal it went to $20k which included $2k for some lame "protection plan" and $2 Advertised "Certified" price was $15595 but once we sat down to do the deal it went to $20k which included $2k for some lame "protection plan" and $2500 for the CPO coverage which was already advertised with the original price. The salesman's response was "read the disclosure in the ad which states we cannot guarantee the accuracy of our pricing"...xxx? This place is truly old school car dealer. All that's missing are the 70's style leisure suits and the cigarette smoke. And of course after we left, the salesman came running out to our car claiming he could meet our terms, only to slink back 10 minutes later admitting he'd wasted our time. Never, ever, ever buy from these clowns. More
This is the second time I have bought a car from this dealership. The staff are always friendly, they work with you to make sure everything is what you want. They have more options available than most de dealership. The staff are always friendly, they work with you to make sure everything is what you want. Worst experience ever and I am 66 yrs. False advertising and deceptive practices. Price was 10k over advertised and advertised was realistic but not great. The owner and upper management False advertising and deceptive practices. Price was 10k over advertised and advertised was realistic but not great. The owner and upper management should be fired and banned from Nissan dealerships. Any dealership period. Do not waste your time. One star is too much. More
The second time around, 12/18/2024, experienced the most unprofessional treatment by Cory. After doing everything online to include financing, I was told the advertised price online was not for me … he neve unprofessional treatment by Cory. After doing everything online to include financing, I was told the advertised price online was not for me … he never gave me a reason. I would have bought the new vehicle at your advertised price… Update as of 12/21/2024 … 15:30 hrs CST … per the General Manager Ben Nash request, I called 3 times and in all instances, he was not available nor did he returned my calls. I understand that as a GM, we customers, are not his immediate concern. Future buyers, be prepared and do your homework. I did mine and was able to prevent a regrettable buy….happy holidays, and be safe going into 2025 … As a final note for 2024, Nissan NB is a place 100% bait and switch. They advertise attractive prices just to lure you in and the whole Team is incredibly unprofessional. When I confronted them about their bait-and-switch tactics, they immediately got defensive and told me, "either purchase the car or leave."… they assumed that because I’m 70 years old, army veteran, and retired they could easily take advantage and sell me the fake pot of gold.. 🤔🤔🤔.. My spouse and I went to Nissan of New Braunfels today(12/13/2024) looking to purchase a new car. Quick recap of the experience: Pros: Nissan is a good brand reliable with a variety of vehicle opt today(12/13/2024) looking to purchase a new car. Quick recap of the experience: Pros: Nissan is a good brand reliable with a variety of vehicle options. I have personally owned 3 Nissans previously. The Nissan New Braunfels building looks new, beautiful and is well maintained. We were greeted by the receptionist when we arrived and met the online sales consultant we had spoken with earlier. We were quickly assigned a sales agent Allen., and were able to see the vehicle we were interested in. Cons: The vehicle price advertised on the Nissan New Braunfels Website was not offered to us. Nissan New Braunfels finance wanted to sell the vehicle at more than $2000 OVER MSRP. The finance officer price was more than $15,000 OVER the advertised price. When we told them about the price they asked what is the online price on THEIR website. Finance in a separate office with someone named Jake/Jack/Jason (would not give his name also would not clearly state a price to Allen) and did not want to directly speak to us, even though it was not busy on Friday morning at 10AM. Nissan New Braunfels did not want to honor Nissan authorized discounts that we were qualified for. Finance finally agreed to the price on their website but wanted to decrease my trade from the Kelley Blue Book value for my car by $5,000. This was ridiculous no logic or reason was given by Jack/ Jake/ Jason Jack/ Jake/ Jason (6ft tall white gentleman with white hair) told us that we did not need to know his name and to leave the dealership but didn’t want to say where our car was after they had checked it. Bottom Line Up Front: If you want to be disrespected, treated like a financial novice, overcharged and have your valuable time wasted this is your place- Nissan New Braunfels is waiting for you. Otherwise, there is Nissan of San Marcos, Gunn Nissan, Cavender Nissan, World Car Nissan, Ancira Nissan and more within 50 miles. More
Save your hard earned time and money and go to one of the Nissan dealerships down the road for a used vehicle! I found the car we wanted so called the New Braunfels advisor to verify price and ensure it woul Nissan dealerships down the road for a used vehicle! I found the car we wanted so called the New Braunfels advisor to verify price and ensure it would be available before a 2 hour drive there. After deciding to go forward with the purchase of a vehicle listed for 19k, we were then told about required charges that were not listed as part of the price. 19k turned into 25k due to the CPO and GPS additional required charges. This dealership is NOT transparent with their prices. Why even have a section to figure out your monthly payment if you're going to add these charges I have no idea about. Other Nissan dealerships do not do this. THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT UP FRONT WITH THEIR PRICES! BEWARE!!!! More
