YOU DID SEE THE ERROR OF YOUR WAYS SO YOU GAVE ME BACK $37.50 ON 1/31/25 MAKING IT $224 FOR THE QUIK LUBE BUT THAT IS 10% HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR OF $200 WHEN INFLATION ACCORDING TO THE FEDERAL RESERVE IN 3% i guess because inflation is on everyone's mind nowadays that businesses can capitalize on price gauging and get away with it. they have made this car so exotic they feel it is a captive audience and that there is no competition on who can exclusively do the oil change. so they have a captive audience and you must comply. there was no explanation of costs up front and that their rates changed from the yr previous. i have used them every year since 2022 when it was new. i would not recommend the oil change but you cannot get your oil changed anywhere else because i have looked around. even my regular mechanic that works on my other 4 cars would not do the oil change. so you are stuck. i have had pantera de tomaso's my whole life and anyone can change the oil on these cars but not the c8 corvette. i wish i knew this before i bought it. it is a pain in the rear to have to submit to the exclusivity of the chevrolet dealer. they call it a quik lube. they have a trumped up synthetic oil that only this engine can accept which is pretty ridiculous. and then the accessability underneath is horrible. you have to take a huge panel off to access the oil filter.then you have to put the huge panel back on. ridiculous. in this hot desert these panels interfere with the air flow to the engine itself. now that i am out of warranty i will probably have the panel removed and have one of my son's change the oil. there is a newer less expensive version of the same oil sold at many stores locally. I was parked in line for 1/2 hour waiting for someone to help me. I finally got out of my vehicle and went inside and finally got help. No one told me I had to go inside.
