His boss however came in and wanted to increase the already agreed upon price because because we were not using Hyundai Financing. We almost left at that point and he backed down. Since we had prearranged financing and an approved loan from our credit union, we were told that a credit check was not necessary. It would only lower our credit rating and would serve no purpose to the dealership. Well, they did it anyway. The few points lost will recover with time but their integrity will not. The Finance guy insisted on attempting to sell us insurance and extended coverage that we said we did not want. This was an indication to us that the Hyundai advertised warranty was not good and the vehicle may also have built in obsolescence leaving us with major repairs not under warranty. He also gave us a coupon good for our first oil change. Later, when I looked at the coupon, it had a stamp over it that said it expired in 30 days. I could imagine that if I went in prior to the 30 days, I would be told that no scheduled maintenance was due until 3 months or 3000 miles. Although the next item did not change the agreed upon bottom line, I later noticed that I had been charged for widow etching and a useless $2500 re-bait if the car was stolen and was a total loss and the etching numbers didn't aid in the recovery. This item was never discussed with us. Now, after this, can we trust the dealers service department to perform work correctly and not push for add on items? I don't think so. Richard E Greene More
