He took the time to understand what we were looking for and went through the inventory until he found the correct car for us. We did not feel pressured and we did not get 'T.O.ed to a sales manager which is about the most annoying thing that can happen! We would go back to Champman. More

Who knew you could leave a car dealer not angry?! I had only started my search when I decided to drop by Chapman to see what they had to offer. My salesman ended up being John Leidigh and I can honest I had only started my search when I decided to drop by Chapman to see what they had to offer. My salesman ended up being John Leidigh and I can honestly say that he was the first sales person I think I have ever met who didn't seem like he was out to try and pull one over on me. He and I had a lengthy discussion about what I was looking for and I told him that I needed to think on it. He was completely fine with it and didn't try to push me into it which was refreshing! After thinking about it, I called him back the next day and we made it happen. John went above and beyond to get the payments where I wanted them. After taking a test drive with "Crazy Bob" I went ahead and signed my paperwork. They got me in and out as fast they could as they knew I had an appointment I had to make. Both of them did everything that they could to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I cannot tell you how nice it was that John was upfront and not once did anything to try and sway me into a purchase. I had a pleasant experience with them and I will certainly go back in the future. Although the transaction took longer than I wanted after the agreement to purchase, the price negotiation was fairly quick and easy. I have had longer and more annoying waits at other dealers whom I have purchased through in the past. My own research and experience with the language of initial dealer sales proposals (eg. "market price" is not a synonym for "MSRP") was part of what made the transaction a success. The sales manager probably knew that I was an informed buyer and estimated his bottom line ahead of time. I did not have to meet and negotiate with the sales manager, who accepted my counter offer right away (as relayed by Maree, the sales person). The meeting with the Finance Manager was relatively quick and painless (this was a cash purchase with no financing). The car was delivered nicely detailed and Maree was helpful in registering me for the Hyundai net interface and going over features of the car. She followed up more than one by phone after the purchase. I was made to feel like a valued customer. More
