Took my Jeep in to get checked for a noise in the engine and was told that I would have to replace the entire engine. They started asking me questions about the engine, which brings up a red flag. Usually I’m used to the mechanics not really interfacing that much with customers they kind of just find the problem and fix it. They started with an oil change to see if it would go away because they said the oil was low. I change the oil all the time as needed. Whenever the oil change service is due I never weighed. When the oil got changed I got home and it leaked everywhere. They said it was because of an oil cap problem. Nothing that they did. I have never had an issue with an oil change ever until I went to that dealership. They towed my Jeep back they replaced the oil so that I could take it to Thomas Dodge in highland. I take it to the other dealership and nobody mentions anything about replacing the entire engine. It turned out to be a camshaft that was damaged and they replaced it just fine and changed the oil just fine. Also at the dealership in Chicago under the hood, I realized that clamps were loose and screws were loose from when they checked the noise in the engine. More
