Poor communication. Visited the service department when my check engine light came on after an engine recall had been repaired at the same location. Dropped off at 8:30a Visited the service department when my check engine light came on after an engine recall had been repaired at the same location. Dropped off at 8:30am; received a text at noon that my vehicle was not ready but would text back once it was. 4pm - had not yet received a text or phone call for an update . I texted and did not receive response. I called twice and left voicemails asking when would my vehicle be ready - no response. When I called the front desk at 4:45p, since they’re open until 8pm, The receptionist said she didn’t know and forwarded me to someone’s voicemail. I called back; again said she didn’t know. I ended up leaving my car overnight due to the lack of communication between departments. I received a text from the service dept the next morning at 7:30am asking if I picked up my vehicle. I said “no bc no one communicated anything to me or responded to my messages yesterday.” Response from the manager was - “I wish someone would have notified me.” Turns out the car sat in the parking lot all night. I went in to pick up my vehicle the next morning and nothing was addressed about the car being left over night nor my messages left unanswered. No apologies; no service recovery. The car is fixed running great, but I missed work unexpectedly having to leave the car over night and pick up the car the next morning. I understand parts taking awhile to be delivered and being short staffed, but communication is key so people can plan. I will drive further to the Alpharetta Jeep dealership next time. During times we’re in currently, it’s the little things that count the most. Customer service can make or break your business and communication is key. More
