Service Department Delivers Excellent Service! I purchased my 2017 Explorer at another dealer when I lived in So Jersey, but this is my 2nd Explorer. I was used to a having my own mechanic as my f I purchased my 2017 Explorer at another dealer when I lived in So Jersey, but this is my 2nd Explorer. I was used to a having my own mechanic as my father was s 'shade tree mechanic', so I often steered clear of dealer service depts, believing the myth that they were rip offs making false claims of needed repairs outside of the warranty, etc. I had to bring my vehicle in for a minor recall detail, and even though there were several there for the same thing, I was in and out, I decided to test the waters again for a scheduled maintenance; they did it again - friendly, professional, timely. A few times, I was unfamiliar with one of the bells or whistles on my truck. Never had to wait - usually one of the service advisers would step out, show me how, and it was in and out - 5 minutes, no charge. I thought my brakes were going. Due to mileage and age, I conceded that it was probably time, so I was prepared to finally pay the piper. Nope. Service did a quick on the spot check, a minor adjustment, squeak gone, in and out with a tease to turn around don't drown, through flood puddles. Guilty. I'm sold out on Distchman as my go to 'mechanic'. Love you guys! More
