I had purchased a used 2017 BMW M3 from a private party dealer. The vehicle was perfect except for the fact that the windshield was replaced to an aftermarket brand. About a week into my ownership I noticed an intense rattle coming from the dashboard. I brought it into Circle BMW for a diagnosis. The first time the presumption was that at speed there was a vibration coming from the roof rails, traveling down the A pillar and making trim in the cabin rattle. All hardware from the roof was replaced and trim reinforced. Needless to say that did not fix the problem, and I had a feeling that the problem was with the windshield, considering it was the only thing abnormal about the car. I did take the car back in two more times, each time diving more into the situation. After the third time receiving the car back with no fix I emailed the service manager Robert Datri who told me to bring the car back for a test drive with the shop foreman Blake Simon. After the test drive the rattle was successfully duplicated and Blake stated to me that he would get to the bottom of this issue. The verdict finally came down to the windshield, as Blake diagnosed that insulation was missing and the windshield was poorly installed. Considering I had just purchased the car from a private party dealer, both Blake and Robert were my advocate in communicating with the dealer. The end was result was that I got a brand new OEM Pilkington windshield covered by the dealer I purchased the car from. A couple weeks have gone by and the rattle is completely gone. Also, there were other smaller issues such as the rear door passenger sunshade being broken, rear door driver carbon fiber trim broken, and rear rattle coming from the third brake light all taken care of at Circle BMW. Blake is truly a customer advocate, he consistently fought for the right thing needed. For example: the carbon fiber trim could not be order from BMW as it would only come in a set of four, he managed to successfully order the replacement part while communicating with BMW NA. I highly recommend this dealer and I am glad I formed this relationship. Both Blake and Robert solved an issue that would have otherwise been a deal breaker in owning this fantastic car.
