I first went in to look at the 2012 CCs with sales rep, Joe who was super friendly and helpful. Although I did not have the time to buy at that time, all my questions were answered. Adam was very approachable and friendly and we were able to work out a deal to my financial situation. To top that off, Zach the business manager helped me get a better deal for my new car. The only complaint that I have is that it took a very long time to get everything finalized. However, they were short of staff and very incredibly accommodating. More

I was at a crucial juncture with my previous vehicle where to even keep in on the road I was going to have to sink a lot of money into it....I had wanted to trade it in for about 6 months but had reason to be concerned because I had about $3K in negative equity on it ("upside down" on it). I had been to other delearships (Hyundai, Jeep) that could not really work with me and get me the monthly payment I needed in order to purchase a new car. Although I still came in a bit upside down the team here kept going back to the "drawing board" and finding every single way they could for me to get the monthly payments where I needed them....since I am upside down a little I purchased the gap insurance (this means that if I total the car and insurance pays off the total value of the car I will be covered for the difference between what the insurance company pays and what I owe the bank). Although the team at Autobarn did not invent gap insurance they were simply very sincere in helping me to understand that in my upside down situation this insurance will be crucial to my financial well being should something happen to the vehicle. I can not say enough great things about JOHN and SLAVI.....ask for either one of these guys if you choose to go there, they are not "Car Salesmen"....they are simply guys that sell cars....in the business world there is a big difference between these things. I could not be happier with my Jetta....it is a classy classic car that accelerates with perfection and it is just plain FUN to drive. Thanks to the entire team there who spent a lot of time working with me (as I am somewhat of a sceptic and ask a ton of questions). This whole process I was looking for "The Catch" but there wasn't one.....these guys came through with exactly what they said they would do and didn't just help me get the car I needed.....they also helped me get the car my Fiance and I really wanted. First of all, I love my new car. He was an amazing sales consultant. This was the first car I saw per his reccommendations, and this is the car I ended up purchasing. Slavi at City VW/Autobarn was terrific. I had some fairly unreasonable demands because it was going to be the only way I would consider buying a 2012 Eos, otherwise it was going to be a BMW. I'd also like to add that Mike in the service department is top notch. Via my previous VW, Mike has managed to completely convert me from another VW dealer in Chicago and is the primary reason I went to City VW to buy a car. I can't say enough about Mike. Prior to my visit to Autobarn City VW, I did not know much more about VWs other than that they are cute, and I wanted one. Luckily Adam was very knowledgeable. I found a great candy white used Jetta that I absolutely love! I never felt pressured which I appreciate immensely. Adam is incredibly friendly and personable.
