If you plan on shopping at this dealership, do your homework because they are definitely motivated to take your money and would even lie to do it. This dealership is too much of a hassle to begin with. If you look online for a price on a new car, you will often see that you will have to call them for a price. If you call them and are lucky enough to get a price, then great but I bet they were trying to get you to schedule an appointment to come in. I see this as a lack of transparency. If they can tell you the price on the phone, then they can post it on their website. Now say you schedule an appointment to come in for the vehicle you was interested in. If you don't ask for the OUT-THE-DOOR price, they will go over the sales price of the car. It was a hassle to even get to the OTD price because they were too busy trying to run my credit even though I told them that I plan to finance through my credit union. They would say "oh we just need it to identify you" or "Our manager most likely won't let us sell a car without it." If you plan to finance through your bank/credit union, you do not have to let them run your credit. The only reason why they would want to run your credit is because they will try to get you to finance through them instead of your bank/credit union because if you finance through them, the dealership gets a percentage of loan. If they try to bring up how easily documents can be faked, simply say you can take your business elsewhere or offer to leave the car on the lot until all the paperwork goes through. I had to go through the hassle of this when I was looking for a camry hybrid. I had to walk out on them but eventually came back when their manager contacted me to clear things up. Once I came back a few days later, we went over the OTD price. It's crazy to find out the actually selling price of the car but what is even more crazy is that they had a DEALER MARKUP(which is a nonjustifiable way for dealerships to get more money) of $6000 on the car. If they would have posted this on the site to begin with, I would have never went to the dealership to begin with. At the time, I was working with Mo who was one of the floor manager. The OTD price was $40k to begin with but he was willing to bring it down to around $37k. What I didn't like about Mo is the way he tried to carry the conversation. When I asked why there was a dealer markup, he tried to lied to me and say that he paid more for the car such as 2x the delivery cost. If that is the case, ask for a list of the invoice price of the car to see how much they really paid for it and compare it to what they are trying to sell the car to you for. I bet they will change their tune after that. I didn't go that route becaue at that point, it was not worth buying a car from them if they are going to lie to your face. Continuing on with the conversation with Mo, he then suggested that if I would like to buy a car that I should change my expectation. My expectation is for you to be honest with me when selling a car and not give off bad body language and smirks when I call you out on a lie. It even got to the point where he said that I was trying to get the best deal for me. YA xxxx RIGHT because in the end, the dealership still will make money off the sell, just not as much as they want. I can't believe he said that. It goes to show how money motivated he is because if I would have agreed to buy it for $40k, he would have said nothing and I would have ended up paying more than I needed to. In the end, I had to walk out yet again. Don't make the same mistakes I made. Their strategy is simple. They withold info on their website which causes you to call them. Once you call them, they will try to get you to schedule an appointment to come in. If you come in, then you have fallen for their trap because they will hassle you and if you give into the pressure, you may end up paying more than you need to or walking away with no car and a possible hit on your credit. Do your homework and be firm. Only give this dealership one chance to sell you a car because anymore is not worth your time. There are other Toyota dealerships around the area who are more than willing to do business with you. Not all salemen at the dealership are like this so do you research to find the best one. More
Never waited longer Than 2 hours for my car. People were all very professional and nice. Cashiers seemed irritated when coupon was presented. People were all very professional and nice. Cashiers seemed irritated when coupon was presented. More
We thought the visit and service went well until we looked at the list of things checked. Apparently the in-cabin filter is dirty and needs to be replaced, but noboady said a word to us about this. Thi looked at the list of things checked. Apparently the in-cabin filter is dirty and needs to be replaced, but noboady said a word to us about this. This is just lazy and bad customer service. I will be looking to have my vehicle serviced somewhere that they actually have better customer service. UPDATE!!! Claremont Toyota reached out to us and resolved the issue right away. Marisela went above and beyond in resoling this issue, the filter is being replaced and I am extremely happy with the way Claremont Toyota resolved this issue. I really appreciate the effort to keep their customers happy. More
The agent was friendly. But the actual dealer is not very helpful. I found myself sitting in the car line for almost 10 minutes until I was helped. It feels like everyone is a bit slow to the game… and rather indifferent to helping their customers. I have been to other Toyota dealers and their service was wonderful compared to this place. I would recommend reviewing your customer service strategies. More
