This is why people hate car dealerships (April 3rd 2013). I bought a pre-owned 2012 Ford Explorer from Classic Ford (Greystone Blvd., Columbia SC Wife went nuts…thinks I shouldn’t have…very mad, very d I bought a pre-owned 2012 Ford Explorer from Classic Ford (Greystone Blvd., Columbia SC Wife went nuts…thinks I shouldn’t have…very mad, very depressed…very anxious (literally, Adivan anxious) Tried to return the vehicle the next day…dealership says it’s a done deal and I cannot back out of the deal. My fault for being stupid. My fault for not including my wife from beginning to end…not just the middle. I’m an idiot! I got that. My questions are: Should the mistake be fatal? Should the dealership let me out of the deal? Am I stuck with a $30,000 mistake? Definitely not how I thought I was going to feel after purchasing this vehicle. The bottom line is that I think my wife is right. Although I feel less than a man right now for not being able to buy a car if I want…, it’s going to affect her too. I offered the dealership the option of charging me for any costs incurred, getting my trade back (too soon for anything to be done with it on their end), and we part friends with the vow that I will eventually buy a car from them…with my wife by my side. I was told they have a “no return policy”. I know they can. It is their discretion. They just won’t. I don’t understand that. If a customer changes his or her mind within 24 hours, shouldn’t they be able to back out of the deal? Especially if the customer is willing to pay whatever costs were incurred by the dealer? Why wouldn’t a dealer do that? I don’t want just a customer’s point of you here. I want a dealer’s point of view as well. Hoping to live to fight another day. Signed, New car. No home! More
Received a telephone call asking if I was interested in trading in my existing 2010 Explore Sports Trac. Was told they are high in demand. You never know unless you ask, so I looked around and like the 201 trading in my existing 2010 Explore Sports Trac. Was told they are high in demand. Working with Rico Gibson and Classic Ford I was in fact able to trade in my 2010 Sports Trac and drive away in a new 2013 Escape. Great overall experience, receive a fair trade-in price for the Sports Trac as well as a excellent price on the new Escape. I walked away as a very satisfied customer. More
This is my 2nd purchase from Classic Ford and I will be back for a third, fourth, fifth, etc... nothing but good things to say about these guys. Mack was a patient salesperson and made sure I got the best back for a third, fourth, fifth, etc... nothing but good things to say about these guys. Mack was a patient salesperson and made sure I got the best deal I could get for my money. He was personable and friendly and a pleasure to do business with. He was the exact opposite of the "car salesman" stereotype which is very important for success these days. He is definitely an asset to Classic Ford. The selection he showed me was satisfactory and I was able to choose the vehicle equipped as I wanted and in the color I wanted. Mike Humphrey, finance department, was also a pleasure to do business with. Mike was courteous and explained all the options in detail so I had the knowledge I needed to make an informed decision regarding warranties, GAP coverage, etc... All in all, it was another great car buying experience at Classic Ford! Now, it's time to enjoy my new vehicle! More
My family came in to the Ford dealership just to see what Ford had to offer. We have been getting a new car every two to three years and my vehicle had a problem. The dealer fixed the vehicle but the service Ford had to offer. We have been getting a new car every two to three years and my vehicle had a problem. The dealer fixed the vehicle but the service department was rude to my husband and I was not happy. Instead of making a complaint we were happy they fixed the car free even though we were over the mileage for the warranty, I was not sure I wanted to keep going with that company since the car was only two years old and already having trouble. Andrew Moore greeted us that Friday night and we expalined our situation and we were just curious about making a move to a new dealership. He was so helpful and really understood what we were looking for. We returned the next day to look around again. Since I recently changed jobs and make less money; I wasn't sure what we could do but knew we needed something dependable. Everyone at FORD was helpful and answered all questions and concerns we had. We have two small children and we were appreciative how the office accomadated our somewhat restless children as we tried to get the best offer we possibly could for our family. We knew what our budget was and we explained that to Andrew and his supervisor and they did EVERYTHING they could do to get us at the monthly payment we wanted. We were apprehensive at first but FORD really came through for use. When it came time to do the financing we sat down with Aaron Parks and he explained everything to us and found the best finance company that fit our needs. He had a great sense of humor that we enjoyed after a long day and not to meniton our kids were restless and ready to leave for a Birthday party but he knew just what to say to keep everyone calm. He worked fast to get us finished and on our way to our Birthday party, making sure he covered everything we needed to know. In conclusion our first time walking in the FORD dealership was one that we tell everyone about. We were treated with respect and great customer service. We explained our needs and wants and everyone worked hard to get us what we wanted. We were not just another person to make a purchase; we were treated as Family. More

I gave all 5-great ratings, because both Mack & Michael treated us as if we were the only customers in the show room. Mack the Sales Rep. was very patient, as we looked at 3 different models, a MK Michael treated us as if we were the only customers in the show room. This is a pet peeve of mine ( hi pressure selling ), I probably would of walked away if that was the case. I loved working with Classic Ford of Columbia. I came to buy an advertised car only to find that it was sold. I was lucky enough to be hosted by Rico Gibson who committed to me that he would find me the ap buy an advertised car only to find that it was sold. Once I visted Classic Ford, I just sat back and let them do the work. I love my car and I had a wonderful experience with both the sales staff and the accounting folks (Anthony). I can only hope that the customer servivce I received in sales is matched with the same friendliness and integrity that is have received so far because i plan to use Classic Ford for maintenance of my "new" Mustang.
