I had an absolutely horrible experience purchasing a used 2015 BMW X5 (41k miles) from Audi of Hampton, and I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them. The very day I bought the 2015 BMW X5 (41k miles) from Audi of Hampton, and I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them. The very day I bought the vehicle, the TPMS light came on, there was a strong burnt oil smell in the cabin, and I discovered the sunroof was leaking water. Their service department took the car back, claimed to replace a sensor, but the light came right back on during the one-hour drive home. When I brought it back, they said they couldn’t help since “no fault code” showed. Months later, the TPMS issue is still unresolved. The sunroof leak was worse—on the very first night it rained, water dripped inside from the passenger visor, and I even found paper towels shoved in the corner, apparently to hide it. After multiple trips back, they said the sunroof drains were clogged, but in the process, they broke the windscreen and then stalled for weeks before finally replacing it. The oil smell was the most concerning. I was told it was just leftover oil from their change and would “burn off in a few weeks.” Instead, smoke started coming from under the hood, and I had to pay $200 to tow it back. Eventually, they admitted the valve cover was leaking but refused to fix it, saying the car was sold “as is” and without warranty. When I pushed back with the General Manager, Lance, he was dismissive, condescending, and unwilling to help—even after admitting it was a preexisting issue. On top of this, despite claiming the car had never been in an accident, I later found paint overspray and cloudy paint on the doors. The dealership never disclosed this. It also took them over two months to get me the title. When I finally took the car to a BMW specialist, they found: A major valve cover leak that could have caused a fire 🔥 Oil contamination in the coolant reservoir (likely from mishandling during service) Needed a brake fluid flush Total out-of-pocket costs: $3,400. All of this after paying Audi of Hampton full retail price. I asked only that they do the right thing and help with the repairs, but Lance the GM refused. As a single dad with kids, I trusted a luxury dealership to provide a safe vehicle. Instead, I was given a car that was unsafe, poorly inspected, and misrepresented. I even traded a perfectly good car to them they would only give me 17k for it and put out up for sale for over 23k. I know dealers give less and I made mends with that. ⚠️ If you are considering buying a used vehicle from Audi of Hampton, do not rely on their “inspection.” Insist on having the car thoroughly checked by your own independent mechanic before purchase. This experience has been beyond disappointing—it has been dangerous. I will never purchase from Audi of Hampton again. More

This place is quite terrible. I don’t recommend it at all. The issues are too numerous to list. Do yourself a favor and drive on over to Southern Hyundai in Newport News. I don’t recommend it at all. I have been a Tysinger customer since 2012. I tried to get an appointment for a state inspection on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. I was told it would be a month before they could get to it. I tried to get an appointment for a state inspection on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. I was told it would be a month before they could get to it. The only other option was to leave it for 2-3 days and they would see what they could do. That is no way to run a business. More
This location needs some help. When you book your service appointment they’re super backlogged so it might be days after dropping off your car before they start servicing it. For m When you book your service appointment they’re super backlogged so it might be days after dropping off your car before they start servicing it. For me I waited 3 weeks from when I dropped off my car to when I picked it up. All without a loaner vehicle and I had to be the one to follow up with them about status updates on if the car was ready or not. Not to mention they drained my 12v battery and they had to replace it. On top of all of this the repair they performed didn’t fix the issue. So 3 weeks of waiting to fix this issue for nothing. I will not be returning here. More

Since I purchased my car in 2016 Tysinger refused to fix my steering issues. I brought the car in several times and was treated horribly by service advisors and Managers. Everytime I brought my 2016 Smart c my steering issues. I brought the car in several times and was treated horribly by service advisors and Managers. Everytime I brought my 2016 Smart car in the advisor and Jay Busey always found other issues and the car has progressively gotten worse since 2016, to the point where I have almost died because I could not turn the steering wheel. I always told the service advisors this and they just blatenly ignored me. I have been so upset since purchasing this Smart to the point where my health is suffering. I owe so much and this could have been fixed back when I purchased this car. I feel I purchased a lemon. I have list all trust in car dealerships and just wish you could still ride Horses. More
A very unpleasant experience. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and followup. This dealership quoted a price and did not honor the price. They went up $8,000 from the price that the sales manager quoted. I’ve worked with Mercedes’ for a long time and I’m very disappointed that price. They went up $8,000 from the price that the sales manager quoted.
