UPDATE AT END**** We are having the absolute worst experience with this dealership.. THREE MONTHS OF WAITING for a key fob,apparently they sold it to another customer and called my wife 10 min befor experience with this dealership.. THREE MONTHS OF WAITING for a key fob,apparently they sold it to another customer and called my wife 10 min before her scheduled appointment AFTER she drove an hour and a half and told her they sold it to someone else... worst customer service we have ever dealt with. Can't get ANY management to call us back. Guess lifelong toyota customers get the same crappy service as everyone else... 🙄 if this was my dealership (I work at a competing brand dealership) this would have been taken care of by now. There is really no excuse for this situation... except horrible leadership and no accountability. Bit of advice... dont send your wife to this place alone, obviously taking advantage of her gender and lack of knowledge. Wonder if toyota corporate knows how this dealership is tarnishing their brand? Guess we will find out soon, they are my next step... wish I could have given 0 stars. Update...... WELL BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THEY CALLED "TRYING TO MAKE IT RIGHT " TOLD MY WIFE TO COME BACK TODAY (1 1/2 HOURS AWAY) AND DIDN'T HAVE HAVE THE FOB AFTER ALL. HOW BAD DO YOU HAVE TO BE AT YOUR JOB FOR THIS TO HAPPEN?? THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. So now they need to keep our 70k dollar 4 runner and gave her a dirty xxxxx. camry loaner. At least could have put her in something remotely similar to our vehicle. Looks like we drive to Dallas from now on for our services and future purchases....pathetic More
I can not afford to have a stroke over a replacement key that I bought insurance for thru Allstate at Classic Toyota Tyler tx. This is as horrible customer service. Over a dozen people since Thursday talked to and no fob. Im without transportation if main key is lost stolen whatever.. Insurance I paid thru the nose for all this. Insurance is NO good if you can't get service to file the claim. I rest my case. The sale was a snap and dream and I love the car but now this. More
Paul Pruhomme was amazing! He was patient, understanding and listened carefully to my needs. He took the time to show me options on the lot without hurrying me into a decision. So when it began to warm up I started putting my air speed on high, and immediately noticed a “humming” coming from my dash. My brother said it sounds like something is wrong with your cabin air filter cover and I said well they said it’s broken and he said what?! So he looked, the SERVICE DEPT broke the cover AND the arm that connect my glove box to my car and just left the pieces in my glove box. Like are you kidding me. This will be my THIRD dealing with them and after it’s fixed it will be my last. I will not get serviced, buy from, or recommend cars from this place ever again. Sales side is fine, it’s the service department that I have an issue with. Absolutely insane. More
The Staff at Classic Toyota are so professional and made buying my RAV4 so easy! Brent Hallford and Paul Prudhome were awesome and delivered excellent customer service, along with the entire Staff! My experience with service department was terrible. Had sound coming from front end on 2014 Lexus. They supposedly replaced wheel bearing. In addition to the original sound still being there, on our drive home there is a new sound, metal on metal. At home, pulled the wheel off and found they bent the backing plate that protects the break rotor. Was able to fix myself. I have called Abiud Medina twice and he will no return my call. More
The service department at Classic Toyota Tyler is such trash. I bought a 2017 Lexus NXT from them in June 2022. There were pieces missing from the cup holders that adjust to fit your cup size, right mirro trash. I bought a 2017 Lexus NXT from them in June 2022. There were pieces missing from the cup holders that adjust to fit your cup size, right mirror rattled on the highway, and the panel beneath the passenger seat was broken. Was told it would be fixed they just needed to order parts. Ok no problem. I come in around Sept/Oct for an oil change and was ensured these problems would be fixed while here for the oil change. 30 minutes into waiting, Albany comes and tells me the person pulling my car out of the initial service bay hit my driver side on one of the desks and they were taking it to the body shop to be repaired. 4 HOURS LATER my car was done and they had tried to pop the dent out using a heat gun causing my paint to bubble. They also hadn’t fixed anything they were supposed to (because it’s a Lexus and those parts had to be ordered which I already knew but they ASSURED me it’d be fixed this day). Surprise surprise they have yet to order these parts. Also had to be put in a rental for the 2 days it took for them to repair the damage they caused. So today, I am back to have the parts put on my car and get an oil change. I was quoted approximately 3 hours for this service. I got a Lyft and did some shopping. I arrived here at 0915…it is now 1434 and they managed to fix the mirror, cup holder, but the panel has to be ordered. STILL haven’t gotten to my oil change. I asked them to skip it, 4.5 hours is long enough for me. I’m still waiting for them to bring me my car and I had the Lyft driver drop me off at 1330. I am absolutely never coming back here. My husband will be bringing it up to have the panel replaced when it comes in because I can’t stand to be in this place again. HORRIBLE communication with each other! Maybe I’ll get out of here by closing time! More
Terrible service for repair. Took our Sienna in for an engine light coming on. Told that cam shaft needed to be replaced. Initially told it would take 2 weeks to get part in, and Took our Sienna in for an engine light coming on. Told that cam shaft needed to be replaced. Initially told it would take 2 weeks to get part in, and the other needed parts were already in stock. That was in April 2022-2 weeks turned into another 2 weeks and fast forward 4 months later and part finally came in. Repeatedly told that it was due to supply issues as a result of the pandemic. Told the entire country did not have the part. Part finally arrived in August 2022 and we were hopeful the vehicle could be repaired quickly. After several days passed with no communication from Classic and with us contacting the service rep, we were finally notified that the parts that were needed that were in stock initially were sent back due to being on the shelf too long uninstalled, even though 2 weeks prior to this, we talked with the manager of the parts department and were told the additional parts were there and set aside for use on our vehicle. Now it would take another 5-6 weeks to get the parts back. No assistance or compensation offered as far as loaner or financial compensation for their mistake. We posted a negative review here at that time, and were called by the service department manager asking us to take it down, and then he would look at other alternatives for the parts. We took down the review, but nothing changed. Almost exactly 6 weeks later, we get a message to call and schedule a time to bring our vehicle in for the repair as the parts were available. Had to call to remind them that our vehicle had been in their possession the entire time and to please begin repairs as soon as possible. It was another week before we were notified that the Vehicle was ready. Only discounts given was replacement of the battery (because after sitting in their lot for 6 months the battery was no good) and $150. Didn't even wash it (the van was filthy after sitting for 6 months) or fill it with a tank of gas. The girl at the desk when we arrived to pick up the van was rather rude as well. Cudos to Nathan who had to deal with us at the pick up time as he was very cordial and apologetic for all that had occurred. He had this incident dumped on him at the last minute as the service rep we had been dealing with the entire time no longer worked there. We picked up our vehicle October 17, 2022. More
