Took vehicle in for brake pedal going to floor (no warning lights illuminated). My vehicle has the Dodge Lifetime Maxcare extended warranty plan that was purchased when I bought the truck in 2008. The warning lights illuminated). My vehicle has the Dodge Lifetime Maxcare extended warranty plan that was purchased when I bought the truck in 2008. They replaced my master cylinder, brake booster, 4 calipers, 4 brake lines, and installed a used ABS control module. The dealership told me that was the only option since parts are no longer available. Now that they installed the used abs module, the abs light is on for a mismatched vin number, so that means the abs is not working.. So after 12 weeks they finally say the vehicle is ready, I go and pick up my vehicle and on the way home I notice the brake pedal still goes to the floor. When I got the vehicle home I read the receipt that says since abs light is on, the brakes may not work as designed and caution needs to be used when braking in wet or slippery conditions. They also put on the receipt that they were not accepting any liability for this and the only other option is to retire the vehicle. They say “I was notified that all of these conditions would exist because of the used module”. The only condition they notified me was the abs light would be on and it would pass the Texas state inspection. They never mentioned dangerous to drive or not accepting liability. I sent an email to the service writer (Robert Alarcon), service director (Derick Johnson), and the general manager (Apollo Chang) telling them the brake pedal still goes to the floor and disputing that I was notified that the vehicle was going to be unsafe to drive. I asked them how I should proceed, I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM ANYONE! Approximately 2 weeks later I took the vehicle to another local CDJR dealership and they basically refused to work on it because of what Clay Cooley CDJR had done to it. More
