Theresa was very pleasant and personable. I did not finance, and I had no trade in so I assumed the transaction would be pretty quick once I decided on a Ford. But I was disillusioned with the first price that was presented. The Clay Cooley Website says, "The price that you see online is the price you pay for your new or used vehicle." The price at which we started negotiating was about $3K over the internet price advertised. I still think I got a good price. But Theresa, Rachel and I had to do some negotiating that would have not been necessary if the advertised price had been honored. More

I was lied to. I was told that if I placed a down payment they would match me, it never happened. I didn’t notice until I got home when I reviewed the paperwork thi I was told that if I placed a down payment they would match me, it never happened. I didn’t notice until I got home when I reviewed the paperwork this was my mistake I should have properly checked before signing but nonetheless it’s bad business. Secondly my trade in was paid off by this dealership and no one contacted the institution that I had my trade in through. The lien holder of my trade in took out the monthly car payment from my account as if I still had ownership of the vehicle. How does this happen? I called this dealership so I could have assistance with this matter I left a message and NO ONE called back. I ended up going to the institution that took the funds and showed them my copy of the contract from this dealership to prove that I was no longer in possession of the vehicle because it was used as a trade in. I have purchased cars from Bruce Lowrie, David McDavid, Hailey Subaru, and Car Max and I have never had this type of issue. I can honestly say I will not be back to purchase another vehicle from Clay Cooley. More
