You Need to hire more mechanics When I brought my car in a couple of months for a tire rotation and oil change, I was there for 3 hours. I thought maybe mechanics were on vacation. L When I brought my car in a couple of months for a tire rotation and oil change, I was there for 3 hours. I thought maybe mechanics were on vacation. Last week I went in for a battery for the key fob and replacement of a headlamp. My appt was at 10:00 and I was there unto 2:00. This is totally unacceptable. Please hire more mechanics because many people who were waiting indicated that they would not be bringing their cars back to this service department. More

Several of us start grumbling and one of the employees starts laughing like it is a joke...finally one of the service reps joins the line and hears us complaining and goes to find the lady who is supposed to be working at the counter and she starts checking us out. Made me happy I must admit sometimes things don’t go perfectly as expected. I had a check engine light come on in my new Lincoln. I called Don Davis and arranged fo I must admit sometimes things don’t go perfectly as expected. I had a check engine light come on in my new Lincoln. I called Don Davis and arranged for a valet to pick up my car which they did. They did not have a loan car for me to use but i agreed to go ahead thinking it would not take long to check it out. It did take longer than expected as I was without a vehicle to drive to work. I made it work until the car was delivered back to me. When I got my Lincoln back there was a ding on the hood that chipped the paint & an indention. To say I was unhappy is an understatement. I called Dee Philips to make her aware and she said they would have to check the before & after pictures the valet driver takes. Unfortunately where the ding was you could not see it in the pictures. Here is where they made me happy was Dee called me back and said they would take care of it no problem. The valet picked it up dropped off a loan car and fixed it and delivered it back to my door. The car looked brand hew again thanks to Billy and the other service people at Don Davis. You really can not expect any more than that from a dealership. Thank you Don Davis for taking care of me. Disappointed 1. Over the last 6 months, I have sent several emails to Don Davis Ford-Lincoln, requesting an appointment to resolve the air bag factory recall on my 1. Over the last 6 months, I have sent several emails to Don Davis Ford-Lincoln, requesting an appointment to resolve the air bag factory recall on my Lincoln MKX. Nobody wanted to take ownership to assist me, to keep me up-to-date, or to schedule an appointment. I finally found someone to answer my questions and to schedule an appointment. 2. Although the recall notice stated that a loaner vehicle would be available, Don Davis said they would not provide one, since "parts are now readily available." Not until I called a Lincoln customer service rep did Don Davis make the arrangements to obtain a loaner. 3. The 1/2-to-1 day promise to complete 2 recalls turned into 3 days, with no explanation from Don Davis staff. 4. When I checked in the MKX at Don Davis, I requested that they determine and provide me the factory default door unlock code. The service sales person gave me an "OK," so I assumed it would be handled. At checkout, when i inquired about the code, I learned it had not been handled. I encountered so many deer-in-the-headlights looks, I thought it was hunting season! Rather than provide it, the service manager sent me to the pre-owned vehicle lot (where I originally purchased the MKX). The pre-owned department manager then drove the MKX back to the Service Department and told them how to use the vehicle analyzer to find the information. Generally, I found Don Davis' service staff to have a tin-plated, aloof, don't care attitudes. It was further aggravated by interdepartmental hostility. Why would anyone want to purchase a vehicle - new or used - from Don Davis or have it serviced, with the incompetence I encountered? More
