I had my forester in a couple of weeks ago for leaking head gaskets (seems like a common Subaru problem). At that time I indicated I had a rattling sound coming from the front area. Some sthinkort of joint was replaced to fix the noise along with a light out. I returned a few days later as I had a check engine/cruise lite on. It was determined to be one of the oil pressure sensors and it was put on order. Unfortunately I still have the rattling sound and a high temperature smell filling the passenger compartment when on the highway for awhile. The smell pretty much goes away if the heater is in the recycle mode. I like the vehicle and have had Subaru's before and I still think highly of them. Maybe this one is different. More
