READ THE FINE PRINT I purchased a car from Coastal Nissan recently. Nothing mentioned about a price, so I ASSUMED it was part of their cleaning process. When I sat down with Nick Spolsino,the finance manager, I was given a price to purchase an extended warrenty for 936.00, when I looked at the purchase agreement the price was 1895.00 for the extended warrenty and 795.00 for the protective coating.. Do yourself a big favor and read the purchase agreement prior to signing.. I compained to the general manager which went on deaf ears.. More

COASTAL GOES POSTAL ON IT'S CUSTOMERS!Stay away!!!! the short version.I called on a car that I saw on line and spoke with Katie who offered me 150.00 off the price and 100.00 in Coastal cash.I asked if the short version.I called on a car that I saw on line and spoke with Katie who offered me 150.00 off the price and 100.00 in Coastal cash.I asked if that was the best she could do,and she said no.I then asked what the doc fees were and she told me 369.00.Isaid would they take that amount off as well and then show they were paid (doc fees are never waived).Bear in mind this is end of month and dealers will promise anything to get you to buy so they can show numbers at least on paper.I was told to go to the Cohasset location to test drive.I went,loved the car,and decided to buy it,with the terms I discussed with Katie who was in the business development center.I spoke with my sales person who told me that he was amazed they offered me the doc fees off and did they want to lose money on the deal?I don't know what they paid for the car,not my business,but Katie told me she could authorize the deal over the phone,so I believed her.My sall cash but they would not deduct the 369 for doc fees...I loved the car so much I didn't want to argue at this point.My father who was helping me buy the car said he didn't trust them now and was not happy with what they had just done and had thought that we should not trust them.Well,FATHER DOES KNOW BEST!When test drove the car,it had mats in it.They were factory mats.I was told that the car would be available to see when we signed the papers as it is not just my car.I was bringing the other person with me as it is in their name.Well,we went to sign and brought the money(cash deal) and the car was not there.We were told that it would be I delivery day.So my mom would not be able to see her car before she signed paper work.Then when we picked the car up,the mats were gone.I was told to go buy them at an auto shop for 20 as the car is used and they come as is or I could buy some from them with my Coastal cash...I called to speak wth manager Mike Delaney after I was told by the auto manager Paul that h would not b paying for my mats (ugh,didn't asked him to)Then I explained my situation with Mike Delaney who seemed ok,and then said he would order them.I THOUGHT they would send them to me...Nope.The manager also told me that Iwas lucky to get the mats since they don't come with a USED car.Hmmmmm....They called it a PRE OWNED car when I was buying it.STAY AWAY!!!!!COASTAL GOES POSTAL ON THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!!! Nothing more than they are going to tell you what they need to to make the sale and then they don't stand by and honor the deal. They also sold me a car with a tire that had been plugged in the sidewall... and the plug was mounted inside so it couldn't be seen. Plugging a sidewall is extremely unsafe and against industry practice. When the plug blew, only weeks after purchasing the car, I contacted them to replace the tire and they refused. A good, honorable, honest company would have replaced the tire with an apology. But then again, a good, honest, honorable company wouldn't try to screw me out of the $50 gift card. It is indicative of how they do business. Shysters! More
