The original timeline was 2-4 weeks from October 15, 2020 and I didn’t get the car until January 4, 2021. I was told it was done being built November 10, it was on a truck November 23, then it was on a train and I didn’t get the car until January 4, 2021. I was told it was done being built November 10, it was on a truck November 23, then it was on a train December 9 and that’s the first time I heard the whole “2021.5” ordeal being the reason for the delay. I understand COVID is having a huge impact but I’m confused why it took almost 2 months for a “already built vehicle” to show up and why it spent over a month on trucks and trains. I also had to ask 3 times how much I could bring in and how much I had to finance and was told “whatever you want.” When I said how much I would show up with, I was told that was too much. I’m happy I had all my conversations through text messages to keep this confusing timeline somewhat straight. In the end I am happy with the car, it’s exactly what I wanted but whether it was the dealer getting bad information from the factory or the dealership trying to make up an excuse to buy time, it was not a pleasant experience. More
