Thank you for your continued feedback — we understand your concern and want to provide some additional clarity. Mazda vehicles are equipped with an occupant classification system in the passenger seat that is designed by the manufacturer to determine when the airbag should activate. In general, this system recognizes a passenger once they are within an approximate range of 90–100 pounds or more. This threshold is in place to help ensure the airbag deploys safely and appropriately. Because this is a factory-calibrated safety system, the weight threshold and sensor behavior cannot be modified or adjusted by the dealership. These parameters are standardized across Mazda vehicles and align with industry safety regulations. That said, if there is ever a concern that the system may not be recognizing a passenger correctly within that range, we are more than happy to inspect the vehicle to ensure everything is functioning as intended. Hi Tony, thank you for finally responding. I am Daniela, Camilo's wife. We have been trying to get a response from Beatriz and the 'WeCare' team since early February, but our last three emails have been completely ignored. ​As we explained in those emails, we live in Gainesville. We only purchased the Platinum Protection Package because your sales team assured us it was universal and could be used at any Mazda dealer. Now that our 1-year service is due (A/C Refresh, Paint/Interior Protection, etc.), we are being told otherwise. ​Because the 300-mile drive to your dealership will put our car over the mileage limit of the contract, we need a resolution today. To settle this matter and update our reviews, we need one of the following: ​Written authorization for Mazda of Gainesville to perform these services and bill Mazda of Coconut Creek directly. ​Or, a written mileage waiver and a guaranteed loaner vehicle if you insist we drive 5 hours to your location. ​You have our VIN and all the details in the 'WeCare' inbox. Please let us know immediately how you intend to honor your word so we can move forward. We want to remain loyal Mazda customers, but we need accountability.
