Jacob (Jake) Smith was wonderful. He didn't try to lead me to add on things or go for a higher model that I didn't want; he was really just interested in exactly what I wanted. I was a little indecis lead me to add on things or go for a higher model that I didn't want; he was really just interested in exactly what I wanted. I was a little indecisive at first about what I wanted, but he was patient and set up a demo for me to take home for the night. That really helped my decision process. Sammy in finance was very personable and took his time explaining everything to me and didn't rush me into any decisions. I felt like he was a trustworthy person. More
Great experience and I didn't feel like I was taken to the cleaners. The were very friendly and seemed to care for what I wanted, not just push me into a car I had to edit this. I am not saying th to the cleaners. The were very friendly and seemed to care for what I wanted, not just push me into a car I had to edit this. I am not saying this is entirely their fault, but it seems that my credit app was 'approved' and I was able to drive off with tne new car. Three weeks later, I am called and told I must show up at the dealership today. Well that was Friday, I went in when I got off work and I was told "The finance company wants to charge the dealership $3300 for financing the car" and I must pay 1/2 or I cannot drive off." They also informed me that my extended warranties were no longer going to be paid for and if I want them, I must fork over that money as well. Also, that my payments may be changing, but it was unclear if they were going up or down.... Needless to say, I am no longer driving the car. They took it away, wouldn't let me drive off that day, they had to take me home. Again, I know I had credit issues, but said over and over again that I would not drive the car off unless they knew that I was approved. I was told by all, including the finance guy that all is good and they didnt foresee any issues. Luckily I was able to get my trade in back, even though someone was trying to buy it and started doing things to it....plus they fixed the mechanical problem, but I have yet to receive my other set of keys for the trade... My biggest beef is this, I didnt want to drive away unless I was sure. I have financial documents that say I agree to pay this much a month for the car, As far as I was concerned it was final.... Now, I am trying to get my down payment back and of course no one will return my requests. When I was buying a car, I was answered right away, now? Wow...no I do not recommend this dealership...nor do I expect to be back.. 9/12/13 Even tho I was told to provide my contact information to Jerry Lovins (see reply below) its been two weeks. No word from him at all. 9/26/13 Still no contact from Mr. Lovins. 10/17/13 I have yet to hear from Mr. Lovins regarding the issues he asked me to contact him about. Never again..... 10/26/13 Still no contact with Mr. Lovins. Also, Mr. Lovins, I just purchased a brand new car from a competing dealership. So, you have lost one customer that could have been there for life plus residuals. Next time I need Honda sales/parts or service, I will go out of my way to avoid your company. Thanks for the great 'lack of service' as it opened my eyes to how shady business work, More
The teamwork of this dealership was outstanding. They were thorough in everything they did and when I left with my purchase, I felt they had been primarily interested in my overall satisfaction and not s were thorough in everything they did and when I left with my purchase, I felt they had been primarily interested in my overall satisfaction and not simply making a sale. My wife and I had shopped around. Coggin was our 3rd dealer. They promised to beat the price of any other, and they held up to their word. If you shop around before you go there, you should be able to get a good deal. We had the deal solidified within 10 minutes of walking in the door, took the Odyssey for a drive. The only negative, if you can call it that, was that it took the detail crew forever to get the pinstripes off the car. We didn't like they color combo on them, and apparently they were extremely sticky. Other than that, it was a pleasantly smooth, and easy transaction. Do your homework up front, and you will be rewarded at Coggin. More
I purchased a 1995 Certified used Honda Civic from Coggin Honda in 1998. At the time it was three years old and had 35,000 miles on it. Last week, Coggin Honda accepted that same exact car, now 17 years old Honda in 1998. At the time it was three years old and had 35,000 miles on it. Last week, Coggin Honda accepted that same exact car, now 17 years old with 197,000 miles on it, as a trade in to purchase a 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan. Not only were they all extremely helpful, generous with their time, and friendly, but also willing to listen to our situation, and never judged us. They, without a doubt, did EVERYTHING they could to help us. Normally, people don't usually keep cars for 17 years unless the car worked beautifully, which it did, but also because financially we didn't have money to buy a new car. Not only were they easy to work with, they were also very honest. Never did I feel they were trying to hide something from me. I told them what I could afford and they didn't try to show me cars above my price range, nor did they try to push me to buy, both of which happened at other dealerships. They showed us both the car fax and also the blue book value of the vehicle; so I knew exactly what I was getting for my money. They stayed late to help us get the right financing and pricing. Over the next few days I called the dealership back to take care of some last minute details, and I must say how impressed I was that they always took my calls, no...".He will get back to you". From the beginning, we felt we were valued customers. It didn't matter that we weren't buying a new car and didn't have a lot of money, I was treated with respect. It has been 14 years since I have bought a car from Coggin, and it may be another decade before I need to do it again, because the exceptional quality of the Honda vehicle is such, that I every confidence it will prove to be as wonderful and dependable a vehicle as my civic was to me. I enjoyed many happy years with my civic, and must admit was a bit teary eyed when I traded it in. Throughout the years I have recommended Coggin Honda to all my family and friends and I am very pleased to say will continue to do so. I want to take the time to personally thank the following people for their incredible service: To Mark Kelly, my sales person, you are a man of great compassion, character and infinite grace. We are truly fond of you. Thank you for making us feel like a cherished friend rather than just a number. You are my hero. To Alvin Santana, our financial guru, thank you for your honestly and professionalism. Thank you for being my friend across that scary desk and not my enemy. Customers enter offices like yours at other dealerships every day and leave feeling like they were cheated. I left your office with a smile on my face knowing that I was well informed and that I got an incredible deal, and even better that; you were absolutely fine with that because you knew that you made a positive difference in our lives. Well done. To Eric Gunnarsson, the used car manager, I know that without your help and all the concessions you made for us that we would never have normally been able to afford a car that somehow magically became affordable. Behind the scenes, you made this possible for us and I thank you. To Irene Cedeno, the friendly receptionist, I must have called a dozen times, and in every case, you were gracious, pleasant and as helpful as you could be. Your smile greeted me when I came into the dealership that day when I came in. But it was the smile in your voice that made me want to recognize you for a job well done. For those people out there who are trying to decide whether to come to Coggin Honda, then let me put your fears to rest. The dealership is unlike any other you have ever visited. They are exceptional. Thank you Coggin Honda... for everything.... More

Mark Kelly, one of Coggin's sales staff, was most helpful and pleasant from the moment I got out of my car at the dealership before I even knew I would be buying a CR-V from them. He was always willi helpful and pleasant from the moment I got out of my car at the dealership before I even knew I would be buying a CR-V from them. He was always willing to answer questions, worked with us on price to find several price breaks to lower the price and was exceptional at follow through!!! Even several days later, once we had decided to purchase and the deal was complete, he told us to call with any questions. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a vehicle. Mike Moushon worked with us on financing and was also very helpful in explaining all the paperwork and helping us decide which options to "add-on" (Lo-Jack, etc.). I can't say enough nice things about them. Job well done, guys!!!! More
This place is horrible. I wouldn’t send my worst enemies here. My original lease was seamless and I had no problems at all. I even referred others for service and a car purchase here (but never got any refe here. My original lease was seamless and I had no problems at all. I even referred others for service and a car purchase here (but never got any referral credit for it as i was promised upon my first lease). I returned to lease another Honda a few months before the end of my lease at the time and had nothing but problem after problem. I even went to corporate (and endured months of them trying to reach a manager on premises without much reciprocation) and tried reaching out to the owners of the dealership myself without any response back. The only resolution offered to me after months and months of hassle were some free oil change vouchers which I refuse to utilize. I’ll sell them to you for cheap if you want! ;-) haha jk...who would really want them? Part of me just wants to give them out to people, but I feel that would just be cruel to send them in that direction. I’ve decided to never go within 100 feet of this place and will visit Headquarter Honda instead. Even they said they’d heard similar from some of their customers about the issues I encountered. I had to drive around with an expired temporary tag for MONTHS due to the mistakes made by THEIR STAFF on my lease, am pretty sure I had to sign some backdated paperwork (is that legal?), didn’t get a new plate for months, then after not receiving any bills due to their mishaps on paperwork, was threatened that if 2 months of my lease wasn’t paid by the next day that my credit score would be impacted. they never even sent a bill! i demanded that they take care of my first month of the lease due to the extensive inconvenience they had caused and was told “they couldn’t do that”, but they had offered to cover any tickets I would incur due to driving with an expired tag....(but I’m not quite sure how they would be able to remove any points on my license/insurance) and to continue forward, when i traded in my previously leased car with 7 months remaining on the lease at the time of getting my current honda, the remainder of the lease was to be absolved, but NOPE. my father (who DIED last year and was the name on the lease) still continues to be billed for the remainder of the lease and no matter how frequently my mother or I try to reach out to them to fix this matter, no one responds or takes care of it. i think i forgot to mention how 3 weeks AFTER i had left the dealership with the car, i had just moved to florida for a temporary job and was living in a friend’s house so I did not have any lease or proof of Florida residency at the time as technically the job was still temporary, I was contacted (while out of town in GEORGIA) about 2 days before the end of the year being told that if I did not provide them with a Florida driver’s license by the first of the year, then the bank would take my car. They made me rush home from a wedding/holidays with my family to find time between a crazy work schedule to drive out to God knows where and obtain all sorts of crazy paperwork from my friend I was living with in about 2 days time just so they wouldn’t take my car from me. i’ve heard rumors that this place will give you the car and tell you that the bank approves your lease, but then lies and they shop around for another company to take it on, and they make you come in to re-do the paperwork without even telling you. if this is true, then shame on you, coggin honda. this is all only the tip of the iceberg. your customer service and management staff is horrendous, and read the reviews to prove it. you don’t care one bit about your customers, just the money you can milk from them and scams you can pull over on them. i was even told by your own corporate office that reporting you to the BBB would likely be the only way to make some action happen, but honestly i just haven’t really felt like wasting more of my time...especially because the owner of your dealership doesn’t care at all about it to take a moment to read and respond to the letter I sent to multiple people at their office. my mom recently leased a honda, but did so at another dealership, so that is one customer you have lost business from because of my experience. my friends, family and large amount of co-workers at my job at the time all saw first hand the terror you put me through, and I’m sure feel the same way. The best way to get business is word of mouth and referral and from the other reviews I have seen on your page, it doesn’t seem like that is really going anywhere. IF i continue on as a Honda customer (which isn’t likely as unfortunately this dealership has turned me WAY off of such a great brand), i will make d@mn sure that it isn’t here. More
From the moment I entered Coggin Honda of Orlando, I was treated with courteous and friendly employees. I was immediately shown the models I was interested in with the Sales Representative providing me wit treated with courteous and friendly employees. I was immediately shown the models I was interested in with the Sales Representative providing me with all of the necessary information and details. Specifically, Julio Roman and Damien Gonzalez sat down with me exploring all of the options I had from the choice of models to possibilities of sales or lease. They explained each to me in language I could understand and evaluate. They also gave me the time I needed to discern what option was the best. Once I made my decision, they acted promptly to provide me with the vehicle I requested. Additionally, they assisted me with the financing possibilities. Jose Fernandez, then, carefully and professionally guided me through the paperwork and documentation to make my purchase a reality. I have owned Honda vehicles since 1986 purchased from various dealerships in the area. I can sincerely state that my experience at Coggin was the best I have ever had. I enjoyed relating to the staff and felt "at home" in the store. The employees presented themselves in a way that demonstrated to me that they were actually having fun! I highly recommend Coggin Honda of Orlando to anyone who wishes to be treated fairly and in a way that makes car buying a pleasant experience. More
We had an excellent experience purchasing our 2013 Pilot. Buying a new car is very stressful, but not at Coggin Honda. I had gone to my local dealership and got the usual run-around that you expect when buying a car. I found Nelson Merced at Coggin Honda online to be very honest and true to his word. Nelson gave me a price online and I geared myself for "hidden charges" to be sprung on me when I arrived at the store, but to my surprise the price remained the same. Nelson was very helpful and friendly and I appreciate his honesty. Thank you for making my buying experience so positive! More
