Coggin Honda of St. Augustine

I absolutely hate the process of going to car dealerships, and to that point I have used a car broker for all of my transactions for the greater part of my adult life. With that being said my dau dealerships, and to that point I have used a car broker for all of my transactions for the greater part of my adult life. With that being said my daughter and I were looking to purchase a new car for her, and started the process of researching to narrow down the make and model. We decide to look at the new Honda Accord Hybrid as she travels quite a bit and could benefit from the 44 MPG that vehicle offers. We arrived and were greeted by the receptionist who promptly introduced us to James Paul a sales consultant. James no pressure approach is what sealed the deal for us. I was operating from the car buys playbook of 10 years ago when you had the upper-hand during the negotiation. Supply and demand played a role back then and plays a role most certainly now. With that being said, we never felt the indifference from this dealership that is quite common these days, with many dealers and manufacturers requiring you to pay above invoice if you want the car. We were shown two models, both an accord and a civic , two really nice vehicles, and given an opportunity to test drive them both. After my daughter drove the accord there was no turning back. Because I make informed decisions we left the dealership to do our research on the information that both James Paul and his manager Augustine DeCruz had given us. Every dealership, website, and broker I spoke with was unable to meet the price given to us by James. In fact vehicles that i had located that matched exactly what we wanted were being sold for significantly more than what the folks at Coggin Honda were asking. After a few days of conducting my due diligence, I reached back out to James, sent him a deposit and within a few hours he had secured the vehicle we wanted. Paperwork and financing were effortless and my daughter is the new owner of a 2023 Honda Accord Sport-L Hybrid. I cant recommend highly enough the folks at Coggin especially James Paul for making this experience not only bearable but enjoyable. John More
