We take our reputation seriously and work hard to address customer's problems - which is why we're usually rated so well. Sometimes, we screw up. This, however, is not one of those times. The rest of the story is... We allowed this customer to use part of their expected tax refund as a down payment. However, that refund never arrived. We called, emailed, texted, and wrote letters with absolutely zero response from the customer. They still owe us over $2000. We agreed to work on their a/c when the car was purchased but any work promised at the time of sale is contingent on the customer meeting their down payment requirement. Further, even while the tax refund was pending (and after) we made several appointments to address the customer's issue and the never showed up. Multiple times we tried to address the problem 8 months ago. So, if I were to write a review back about this customer, I'd say "Don't lend money to this customer. They don't keep their promises and they won't respond when you try to reach them. If you set up appointments for them, they won't show up. Even though they still owe you money, they expect you to perform courtesy work 8 months after they bought a car. One star - Don't do business with these customers. I really dont want to do the tit for tat but I will defend myself from your response. There are two sides to every story! As you said your reputation means a lot to you. Your point of view is very one sided and of course benefits you. I am happy I only put $2K down in the beginning, Considering the AC wasn’t fixed the first time. However, you’re clearly still getting the other $2K from us. Your “courtesy” work isn’t courtesy. It was something written into a contract. It was a function in the car that was listed as working at the time of sale. I’d continue but this is a review page not a court room. If you didn’t keep your promises, Why are we expected to keep ours?

Normally I would just apologize for not meeting a customer's expectations and move on when getting a review like this. Selling a used product makes for meeting a customer's expectations difficult at times. However, here are some things to note on this deal: 1 - The customer was offered and took the car on more than one test drive and took the car to his "mechanic" to check it out before agreeing to purchase the car. 2 - After all that, the customer brought completed and signed all the legally binding paperwork and got his financing at a local credit union. A credit union that doesn't allow for selling a car above its recognized retail value. Despite having signed all the legally binding paperwork - we allowed the customer to back out of the deal and move on - hardly what I'd call a sketchy move. 3 - We're A+ rated with BBB, were voted the #1 Used Car Dealership in the whole state of Virginia in 2017, have consistently held the highest ratings of any used car store on Dealerrater, Google and Facebook, and have won the customer satisfaction award for Dealerrater for 4 years straight. 4 - KiKi has never - ever - treated someone with disrespect. With all that said, I hope you found a good deal elsewhere and sorry your experience here wasn't better. Andrew Wiley - Owner, Consumers Auto Warehouse
