Took my car in to check it over because it was making noises on cold start. They said the rings were shot and I needed a new engine. No compression check was done, car has plenty of power, no blue smoke, noises on cold start. They said the rings were shot and I needed a new engine. The report said the oil was low and since there was a service bulletin about the engine, the engine needs to be replaced. The oil was changed recently and the shop may have not filled it up completely. The shop must think customers are stupid to believe the rings are shot without any other symptoms other than low oil level even though there was no low oil warning light. I was stupid to take my car to Copeland Chevrolet. Near as I can tell they wanted me to trade it for a new car so they could sell my used car. More
