If They Won't Take Trade-In's They Don't Deserve My Business Wanted to trade my 2004 Toyota Prius for a used 2007 Toyota Camry because I wanted a bigger car. I drove the Camry and liked it; then I was told that the management does not allow trade-ins on cars priced under $5,000 (which this particular Camry was due to high mileage). Obviously the dealer can set whatever policies they want but this strikes me as really dumb and it means they're not really interested in doing business with me. Many families like mine have both a new car and an old car and based on this dealer's policies when I am ready to trade our new car for another new car I will not be looking to do it with this dealer. I should also mention that the salesperson told me "at least we have a basis of contact and I will keep checking with you to see if you sold your Prius and want to buy the Camry outright. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard from him. I guess I was right and my business didn't really matter much to them. More

Failure to diagnose oil leak after I told them I had one. Said there was no leak. Oil continues leaking. I checked it myself. Found the oil leak. Got a second opinion. Was told it was an "obvious leak, Said there was no leak. Oil continues leaking. I checked it myself. Found the oil leak. Got a second opinion. Was told it was an "obvious leak," just like I had said there was an oil leak. Went back to Toyota and had to "tell them where it was located." Wanted to work a deal with me for 1/2 of what the other shop told me. Then told me they couldn't fix it that day because they had to order parts and wouldn't make an appointment for me right then and there. Made sure I brought all my receipts with me and showed them my cardboard that was full of oil that I was catching underneath my imaginary oil leak! Said he would call me later "that day" to schedule an appointment. That was TWO days ago!!!! Couldn't repair it that day -- but lo and behold there were no cars in the body shop. A little strange to say the least. I am more than ripped, irate, ticked and pissed off about the whole situation and the way I've been treated. The manager totally blew me off because he's who I requested I speak to when I drove my butt over there, which is 50 miles there and 50 miles back, just to "confirm" what the other body shop told me and what I had originally told them. Did I mention that I'm a female and I've been totally been ripped off? If I don't hear a response back from some "qualified, concerned, honest and respectable person," someone else is going to hear about it higher up the chain!!! I've never been so mistreated by a car repair shop ever! More
