Genuine Customer Care and Service My wife and I recently bought a 2019 XLE Highlander AWD by way of Tim at Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota. Full disclosure, we weren’t aiming for a new My wife and I recently bought a 2019 XLE Highlander AWD by way of Tim at Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota. Full disclosure, we weren’t aiming for a new vehicle. My wife and I had been looking at either a 2012ish Toyota AWD Sienna or Highlander. We has called several local dealers to let them know what we were looking for as well as searching for ourselves online. Tim contacted me early on after being recommended by USAA as a trusted dealer when I preemptively got a car loan. While Tim did try to show us many of the current models he had, he also actually listened to our goal. Each week he would send an email or two to see if we were still searching. Last Saturday, my wife and I were in Denver for the second weekend in a row searching. The dealers we went to see really failed to project a sense of trustworthiness and competence. In addition to, the vehicles they had were rather suspect given how they were misrepresented online compared to what they were in the flesh to draw in customers. While making a stop, Tim called up to let us know he had just gotten a used Highlander from a trade in that met our search criteria. Tim was the only dealer to do this during our search. It sounds simple, but it meant a lot to my wife and I. After having several dealers try to get us to come in and look at vehicles that didn’t meet our search criteria, it was refreshing to here from one who did and was very prompt in doing so once he found one. We drove right down to take a look. The car was exactly what he said it was, nothing more nothing less. While we looked it over, he noticed some hesitancy on our end as we assessed it. Politely, he asked what our overall goal for the vehicle was. When we told him we really liked Toyota and we were looking to get a family car to match our growing family that was reliable and AWD, he then inquired what price range we were looking at. With that in mind, he noted that there was a very well priced Highlander that fell in that category, albeit on the upper edge of our desired budget. Given his helpfulness, my wife and I gladly took a look. The vehicle was great. It had all the options we could want. Tim walked us through the vehicle without any sales pressure. At no point did he try to say the vehicle might not last or that this was a “one day sale”, etc. His simple approach was extremely refreshing given our fruitless search so far. The generous price coupled with the benefits of buying a new car from a reputable dealer made the purchase a very straightforward decision for my wife and I. We have been very happy with our experience at Liberty Toyota and will definitely recommend them to others. No dealership is perfect, neither is Liberty Toyota; however, the friendly and courteous staff do go out of their way to make sure everything is right at the end of the day for the customer. That kind of attitude goes a long way. Jerry Dahlberg made the finance side of the house easy to understand and very straightforward. He took the time to explain any questions I had without any rush. When we picked up the vehicle, Abel Barrera, a manager, came out to see the vehicle off with us and ask if there were any issues. When a noted a few small matters, he took a look and promptly scheduled to have them fixed. As I said before, no dealership is perfect and there will always be issues people can make a fuss about. At Liberty Toyota, any time there was an issue (and I’m sincere when I say they were minor but I appreciate them being handled on a new vehicle) the staff immediately handled it when notified. These are great people to work with who really engender trust and confidence through their actions. More
